Noalox

Maalox works as an anti seize compound as well.

Was watching David Stacey's Gearz TV this Saturday. He was building a street rod and was using stainless steel fasteners when he said that you need to use never seize or if you don't have any handy, you can use Maalox!

He even said that he loves it for header bolts, as it doesn't burn off.

Antacids contain magnesium and aluminum hydroxides. when they heat up the water is driven off leaving MgO and Al2O3 powder behind, which is very thermally stable, e.g. >1300C, and will prevent seizing. So, it all sounds perfectly logical to me.

ooooh, glad you liked it!
To be honest, I'm not really making any kind of profit out of it cos I import it from the States, but I wanted to make sure my customers had the option to get it as it's really the best stuff for this job.

MHR (and Vapn - you were posting at the same time as me, AGAIN :pervy:), silk is how I describe what it does too.

Make sure you reapply every couple of weeks or so so keep it running smoothly.
Hi Lisa just wondering if you're still selling the Noalox aqnd how much etc. Cheers Dig

pretty much, i have this too and it's fine for aluminum. the biggest difference between the two is the lack of zinc in the petroleum base of no-ox-id. i don't use either on my GG stuff, but no harm in them as long as you keep them away from the avs and clean the cakey gunk they make on threads frequently enough to maintain thorough conductivity.

yeah I thought it was similar mind you I'm using nano-oil more these days just a drop or two on the threads does the job and like you said I would not recommend this on AVS either for that I suppose you could use food grade mineral oil.

I have had the v3 for about 4 months now. I had nothing but problems with it not firing. My day to day device, tekmod 5v, broke, and I couldn't bare the thought of going back to my ego. So, I decided to dust off this chestnut, and try to figure out what was wrong. After getting a new screw, and an extra washer, I put a nice glob of the noalox on the screw head, it fired like a champ...and kept firing.

At the same time my 5v wetbox arrived, and the prodigy is back on the shelf for another day.

Hi everyone.
I bought maintenance kit with Noalox from Tim with SS GGTS and I was thinking all this time where I can use Noalox. I had advice yesterday from Ko4ik, our GG Family Member. He suggested to put some of Noalox on every part which has contact with battery.
And it's absolutely WOW! I love it!:thumb:
It's two times more vapor and taste! :shock:Thank you, Ko4ik! :thumb:

I am not familiar with the product you speak of. Instead of Googling it, thought I'd ask you so it's recorded in this thread. Right off I'd say it was some sort of lubricant?

* Anti-oxidant and anti-seizing compound
* Reduces galling and seizing on aluminum conduit joints
* Suspended zinc particles penetrate and cut aluminum oxide
* Carrier material excludes air to prevent further oxidation
* Improves service life of aluminum electrical applications

i'll google it for you :)
