Okay, so I got the o-rings put on the too and bottom part of the tank so it will not leak juice, but now what? Is there any special type of mesh I need to use or a special way to roll it? I have seen several with the "u-wick"...I struggle rolling a good wick, for some reason I just can't get it down, or I'm doing something wrong cause the coil ALWAYS glows at the top(going from center post to top of the wick)....so I pulse it some and about the 2 or 3 pulse that top part of my kanthal "pops" or "snaps" in two....and that's with oxidized mesh, un oxidized, only oxidize the top part, roll it with the little fold at the end, w/out the fold, every combination possible....

"how do you know it's your wick" you ask and not the kanthal you may ask? Because if I roll the kanthal around a screw or something and set it up without the mesh and attach it to negative and positive post it glows perfect from end to end....then I insert the wick and "poof" , the top coil going to the top of the center post from the top of the wick glows and then pops!!

so idk what else to try, and if I can't do it on an agat2 I'm afraid to try it on a $200 hybrid, or maybe their is an easy fix to this or the hybrid is different....or I can try to roll a u-wick, just need to be coached up on it....hell prolly need to be coached on rba's as a whole (I really need to learn this and get it down because I'm opening a vape store July 1st)

so if anyone will help me I greatly appreciate it!

The Noble is the hottest and most hard hitting mod I own. With my normal set up, SS wick and 32 gauge kanthal,(4 wraps) I wasn't able to vape this without ripping my throat out. But the size of this mod, the awesome hit this thing has, I wanted to change this to make it work for me.

I got the 1/32 XC Nextel Ceramic Wire, kiln treated (necessary) and 36 gauge wire. The ceramic wick (looks like white rope) doesn't short or have hot spots like SS mesh. There are two sizes of it but this size fits the small wick hole of the Noble perfectly, the other size is too big. I wrapped 5 wraps on the nextel wire with the 36 gauge wire, the higher gauge and an extra wrap, cooled this hot hitter down making my Noble function perfectly for me.

The vape is nice and warm still, just not throat burning hot like it was. It packs a punch but it's a good punch now! LOL I got my Nextel ceramic wire and kanthal from bigtexvapor dot com.

A tip for pulsing your Noble or any other rebuildable too, is to NEVER do it on a fresh, fully charged battery. That is a sure coil popper! Always pulse and fix your shorts on a battery that is drained a bit, around 3.8 volts.

Hope some of this helps you!

This is really helpful, thanks. I just made an impulse buy of the Noble because of the $150 sale, and I actually had the cash, and now I'm 2nd-guessing myself even though it hasn't arrived in the mail yet.

Now that I think about it, I've gotten kind of spoiled with the Provari, on which I can simply make my wick/coil and check my Ω. I don't have to much care what the resistance is, since I can just change the voltage appropriately... I've never cared about or looked into the sub-ohm stuff. As far as I'm concerned, the Provari with a working AGA-T + or Cobra (on which I drilled out the air hole to 1.2mm) is a perfect vape. Why can't I just be satisfied?

But I like the idea of the hybrid, having a single, self-contained mech unit, and am going to need a system for getting and keeping it up and running without a lot of fuss. I'm not much of a fiddler, and my time at these forums where I was reading and posting all the time proved to be short-lived. So I'm going to get a couple of feet of this Nextal Ceramic Wire, 'cause now I'm fretting about possible shorts on a device that doesn't have an Ω reader.

Question: I have 32g kanthal now. Do I need 36g to make this work? What are the advantages? And what Ω should I be targeting on the Noble 1 do get a good vape? I don't care about "extreme" vape or pushing the envelope. Just a good, reliable vape.

Thanks again.

If it wasn't said already, make sure ur wrap is not choking the wick. I wrap my wick off of the RBA and on a paperclip. I make sure the wick can slide up and down inside the coil very easily, not to the point it falls out of the coil. If its tight I unwrap and re wrap until i feel its loose enough. I have found this method works the best for me. This has worked for oxidized and un oxidized mesh and not had to battle with hot spots. I've used this method on the Noble and quite a few other RBA's.

Another point, I pulse the power once it's on the device and simply poke and prod the mesh till I get all coils up and running. If i get a hot spot ill turn the mesh within the coil, move it up and down, even slightly side to side. Keep in mind it's still oxidizing and even if u burn the hell out of it with a torch. There's always a little fiddling to b done.
