Both my minis usually makes a kind of crackling noise whenever I inhale. I had gotten rather fond of it when it just stopped! Both of them don't make the noise whenever I inhale any more and its rather sad. Is this a bad thing?

In my experience this happens when the atomiser has "broken in" properly. A new Evo atomiser can hiss like chips in a pan! 
my smoke51 ( which i really really like for some reason ) makes the same crackling noise when a brand new cart is attached , it seems to fade after the first 10 or so drags. I found i was able to get the crackle sound back if i re filled with a syringe
