No..a board doesn't react differently to whatever number of coils. The power in boards like the one in mvp might not have the watt range for what I want in dual coils, but electricity isn't different from two 1.4ohm coils or one 1.4ohm coil, just the heat distribution is spread out double the surface area.

Barring a defect in the unit itself, you don't really need to worry about frying the MVP 2.0's circuit board by attaching an atomizer with a too-low resistance.

It has a maximum limit of 3.5 amps of current, and will never fire a coil above this. For example, even though it will fire a 0.8 ohm coil, it will fire it at only 2.8 volts in order to keep at or below the 3.5 amp limit it is designed for. You can have the voltage set to 3.3 volts, 5.0 volts, or anywhere in between, but it will only fire at 2.8 volts with a 0.8 ohm coil.

Code:
Current (amperes) = [u] Voltage [/u]
                     Resistance in ohms

For a 0.8 ohm coil:

Code:
Current (amperes) = [u] 2.8 volts [/u] = 3.5 amps
                     0.8 ohms

This will fire on the MVP 2.0 (only ever at 2.8 volts however).
