Non-Smoker looking for zero nic setup to help oral fixation

Is it helping?

Yes and no. It is helping quite a bit with my sweet tooth, and also provides another option to me during my highest risk times. It all always comes back to willpower, and just convincing myself to vape instead of snack. I also found it actually is a big help when I am working on projects as well, when I need to step back for a minute and take a break (a smoke break!). I usually get a snack at these times. I have been vaping instead. The benefits of a break are still there, but without the calories. So that is a success. I think that once summer is over, and I am not cooped up inside all day (it is 110F minimum here every day.) I will see some better results. Idle hands are my biggest enemy of all!

Well, you did say that you knew this would probably just be one of several tools in your arsenal, not the one perfect solution.

I guess once you figure exactly what helps and when, then you can start looking for other strategies for the other times. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, maybe a little of something else, . . . . Plus, of course, lots of willpower. But, it's best to not push our willpower to its limits if we want it to stay strong and useful!

Good luck, and keep us posted. I wish you the best!

I realize you have grown to truly hate smoking, which is sensible. I quit smoking for other reasons, it was truly a love hate relationship, I never smoked more than half a pack a day max, etc. But with 0 nic vaping I can enjoy some of the pleasure of smoking with practically none of the negatives. I can see you are soooo relieved to finally escape from the stinkies, but please don't assume we are all in your exact boat.

I've been waiting 25 years to quit smoking. Thanks to ecigs, I've done it. I can't imagine why a non-smoker would even attempt to get involved with anything that is related to smoking. IMO, find something else. You're a nonsmoker, and you should not get involved with anything that could lead to a habit that could shorten your life. Why mess with a potential gateway to nicotine use. You say 0mgs now, but it could lead to more down the road.

Hi Imaya!
I have a friend at work that also has never smoked before and has also turned to e-cigs as a form of appetite control and has had great success. She tends to vape sweet dessert flavs especially ones including chocolate mostly. She uses a kanger protank with 1000mah batteries and that tends to server her purposes well, as she only vapes when shes bored and at risk of mindless snacking. I too also find myself if Im craving chocolate, I'll vape a choco flav with nicotine, so I guess I as well kinda use it as a form of appetite control lol! 2 birds, 1 stone! =)
