i fig that means i'll get it next tuesday at the latest... considering the holiday? which means i'll prob be placing another order by next thursday, haha. unless i totally hate everything? that's not going to happen right? i'm sorry, i'm cluttering up all threads with first timer anxiety.

Go for your life with the first timer anxiety, I still remember it, most of us do, and noone faults you for it.
Most of us are actually about to re-live their first purchase vicariously through you, it's a fun pastime around here, and so far out of 100 first timers, only one I know of wasn't blown away, so it's good odds you'll be happy.

On the flip side, this is christmas time, the mail system is flooded, so your package may/will probably arrive a little late - nothing can be done about that. Well, something can be done, V4L could start handing out free express post shipping upgrades, and, what's more they did, but I'm not sure if your order was in time/qualified for that, and even if it did, crap can still happen (read my apartment complexes suck thread for a laugh at my expense )

But yeah, soon it'll all be over, your 'cherry popped' to use an off-colour metaphor. Well, a red one anyhows.
I do hope it arrives by Tuesday for you.

thank you thank you. yes, trying to not to get toooo picky about the mail time. i'm just so pleased and grateful they shipped it next day, considering the time of year. it did qualify for express shipping, and i used the code, but i didn't know to ask for express--although tbh that's okay, i already got a great discount and the package doesn't need to be here by xmas for any special reason.

so i'm almost thinking that assuming hubs and i both enjoy vaping the next thing i'll order will be more batteries.

question--what parts are likely to break? not asking in a 'the stuff is shoddy' way but there's always something that's more likely to go--so what should we have extra of? the last thing i want is to quit analogs and then have something break and somehow not be able to vape. i'm sure V4L is very good about broken/defective stuff (seems to be) but that won't help me in a nic fit RIGHT THEN lol

All of the VK gear is so reliable it's amazing. Still, I would say there have been more problems with the passthrus than any other item. That's just one of the things Leaford is in China to fix.

Well, as you can see by my sig, I've been vaping (and a V4L customer) for coming up on 3 months. And I've been using and abusing all the stuff I've bought.
I have a ton of over-abused cartomizers that are dead, but that's to be expected.
Between the wife and I and I'll speak also for the friends we see often who also vape) I've had a bad experience with the original. shortie batteries, which was replaced twice over, so more than happy there, and.. um.. everything else still works fine.
I've dropped most of my batteries a few times, and at 6"3 dropping onto concrete is a decent fall, and been lucky I believe in that they all still worked afterwards - no problems there. I'm waiting for my T to break, it gets dropped about a dozen times a day off my desk, and has been stepped on a few times, and attacked by cats, but it's still managing to go strong.
Now, my green auto I managed to screw an over-refilled carto onto and leaked some juice into the battery, so now it sometimes sticks on, I need to blow a puff into it to reset it. My fault, and I could probably clean it easily, but I take long drags anyway, so haven't tried to clean it yet.
My main battery - the extra long manual, well, it's on it's last legs I fear, after an hour or so it needs a recharge, which is why I have a new one in the order that arrived today, but I've been chain on it vaping a lot everything else has been fine, the original shorties aside, it's all good.

But I'd try to be sure you have 2 good batteries, and 2 rechargers - i have a wall and a usb, and you should be fine (thats what comes in the big kits anyway, so if you got one of those (I forget) then you should be set on that front for at least 3 months on the batteries, assuming you don't throw one in the wash or whatever. Even with my good life on the Passthroughs, it's my favourite vape, so I'd recommend a backup for that if you are by a computer for a large chunk of your average day - hell if you aren't I'd recommend getting a wall converter to usb and using a PT anyway wherever you are - they perform the best, and will last you longer than 3 months
If I could I think I'd have a PT at home, one at work, one in the car, and, one in the conference room here so I'd never be away from one I'd still have a batt or 2 tho as backup.
Anyhows, that's my take.

oh ty for that pawpaw, because that's the one i'm going to be using almost exclusively until we order more batts. so i will test it and if i like it will order another one with the batts, stat. def NOT asking people to say anything's unreliable i just don't want to go without... i haven't been this excited about the idea of quitting smoking in... um, actually, i've NEVER been excited about it.

& thanks dashiva--yup we got the big kit but it's for hubs and i to share until we decide whether or not it's a worthy investment. so we'll def need more stuff, if we like it.

I have the PT and love it. I'm reading good things about the extra long batteries I think one of those will be on my next order. That won't be for two weeks and the order I put in this morning I'm sure will be held up with the holidays. Its a good one though, a $100 in carts and extra PT. Damn I can't wait. I need to vape to calm down......duh I'm out. Its going to be a long week

I'm deeply in love with my gerber fatty. It's got a wide blade and is sexy as hell. Totally my Girly McStab-Stab.

...but i carry it entirely for work-related purposes!

i know what you mean saw... ironically if i didn't *use* a knife so much i could buy nicer ones. lol

well, our first order came--they sent a freebie of an XL batt & i love it! also love the PT. so in second order, i got another PT, and i got a shortie batt to try.

next i'll prob get a PCC... just realized (right AFTER i placed the order, of COURSE) that i'm going on a short trip in January. maybe i can con the hubs outta his for a few days. hmm.
