Also, I'm going to recommend against conventional wisdom and say don't worry about buying a bunch of tools (at least at first). I'd just get the tank, some 28 gauge Kanthal wire, and some organic cotton.
Definitely watch as many videos as you can find on Youtube. Once it's time to build, find something round and small (1/8" drill bit, mini screwdriver, dart head, etc.) to wrap the coil around, and wrap it about 6-7 times. Check the resistance of your coil with your Provari - it's not necessarily as accurate as a dedicated checker, but it's circuitry WILL protect both itself and you in case of a short. Note that the above should get you right around 1.4-1.5 ohms; if it's too low, just add another wrap or use something slightly bigger to wrap around.
I suspect many would balk at my advice, but to be perfectly fair, it's how most of us "old timers" got started. Heck, I still use a 3mm solder tool to wrap my coils (and no, the solder tool has never actually touched solder).
