Hello all

I discovered e-cigs last week while out at walgreens, picked up a disposable Blue to help me stop smoking. It tasted like complete crap. but I stuck with it and it acctually worked, I wasnt craving analogs anymore.

I decided yesterday to go out and buy my own real vaping supplies. I got 2 Ego 650 batteries, a Vivi Nova, some attys and a drip tip along with 3 different juices all 18%.

Anyways Im having NOTHING but problems. First on the attys I drip 2 drops of liquid in, and it will leak. Thinking this is from me over filling it previously, I open a new atty and the same thing. Change batteries, same thing....

But my biggest issue is with this ViVi Nova. No matter what head I use, or what juice I use, no matter how long I let it soak, everything taste like burnt crap. I barely get any vapor. I left a tank to set up over night to soak and eveything, and still tasted burnt n nasty.

I dont know what Im doing wrong. I honestly feel like throwing this stuff out of the window n just smoking a cig, it was so much easier.

Can anyone please help me out n let me know if Im doing anything wrong?

Ok on a carto you don't drip in the center if you drip. The best way to fill a reg carto is to use the condom method. Some cartos come with a silicone cap on both ends. You take the cap that is the biggest and fill it about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up and slip the tip side of that atty into that silicone condome. let it set in there for a bit and then remove it. Any excess will just suck out of it. You will get a small amount of juice coming out during use use a qtip to clean the threads and the contacts. On the vivi if it's tastes burnt then your voltage is too high or if your not using a VV then the ohms are too low.
here is a chart on watts. You want between 4 - 8 watts.

Hope this helps. Your still in the learning curve stage so keep trudging along and don't hesitate to ask questions.

what kind of juice did you get...? I love the vivi....

dripping the atty, I've found, will leak often. I think the drip "shield" will help prevent it some, but I haven't tried one.

I bought it from a B&M thats a cpl hours away and I bought there store name juice. The throat hit is rough as all hell too

Check the silicone cap to see if the metal flat piece inside is down and the funnel part is butting up to drip tip hole. Also make sure the head (coil+ wick) is screwed on tightly. The long wick Vivi are great but the short wick need to be tilted every so often to keep the wicks saturated.

Edit: Standard eGos are 3.3-3.4 volts.

it's gonna be okay. it takes a little bit of trial and error, and we've all had the taste of burnt crap in our mouths at one time or another. you may need to experiment a little bit with your juice filling methods, because when you first start, you aren't sure how to do it, how much to put in, where to put it, etc. i'm going to assume that you filled the center part of the vivi rather than the side, and that what you're doing is burning a dry wick instead of the juice. if you got the vivi nova, you may have gotten an extra head with it. disassemble it and let it dry out first, then make sure you screw the atomizer head on tightly. then fill the tank up from the side, let it sit for a few minutes, and you should be good to go. it might help to pick up a couple of stardust clearomizers next time, too-they're pretty easy and reliable. Just unscrew the tip, fill the tank part to the line (drip the juice on the side of the tank, not into the center), and vape.

don't get frustrated, hang in there. as grimmgreen says: "keep calm and vape on".

Naw I filled it around the tank, making sure to soak each wick while filling the tank. I never filled it above the top line. Ive read about rolling it your hands to soak the wicks before vaping. Ive done it all. Still cant get this thing to work

In the vivi, which coil are you using, 1.8ohm, 2.4ohm, 2.8ohm?

edit: I just re-read your OP, The ohm's don't matter for your problem. See if the little silicon cap that goes over the top of the coil head is pressing down past the little rased lip just above where the wicks enter the head.

Im going to say maybe the batch of joose you recieved might be too thick to wick properly. If you have taken too many "burnt" hits the taste may never be the way it should on the heads you already have. Have you tried barely "Snipping" the silicone on the heads just over the wicks to aid in wicking? I have had atleast 15 VIVIs full and "mini" without problems other than getting juice that was too thick and kept getting the burnt taste you are having aswell.

If all else fails hit up sgenn99 like she had offered on pg1 and make a trip to the B&M in youre area. If that shop is like most they will be more than happy to get you to vape bliss.

Yeah it is. That was one of the first things I checked
