Hello all! Today I just received my EVOD starter kit and some sample juices. Right now I'm vaping Heavenly tobacco from HHV and I had some questions about taking care of my cartomizer(?)/clearomizer. When the juice inside is low is it okay if some juice gets all over if I want to refill it with the same juice? and when the juice is empty, do I just put in a new flavor? or should I rinse it out with water or anything like that? And just as a pre-caution both the batteries only took maybe 15mins to charge up and just wanted to know if most batteries come partially charged or if I should have kept them on the charger longer?

Thanks in advance! Sorry if this has all been covered before =\

Hello, fellow NE Vaper!

An EVOD would be considered a bottom coil clearomizer.

You are fine refilling with the same liquid when you run low, although keep in mind without a rinse any gunk/stuff left over in the tank will mix in with the new juice.

When switching juices many times a good hot-water rinse of the head/tank will remove most of the previous juices taste.

For a better clean or when initially receiving clearos, its generally recommended to do a hot water rinse, vodka soak, rinse, then dry if desired.

To prolong the life of the heads/coils in your evods, you will likely want to occasionally dry-burn you coils to degunk them, and return some of the original performance. You can find that info here, on youtube, or just ask and we'll explain step-by-step.

Just a heads up, if you do rinse you heads with water, and choose NOT to dry them, it will take a few puffs to burn the water out of the coil, and then it will start to produce proper vapor again.

I do keep my stuff clean regulary......i usually clean after a refill or two and if i wanna change flavors i rinse throughouly with water......If im traveling then i have gotten away with just refilling it 5 times or so....but it will start to taste nasty.......keep em clean and have backups so when you are letting one dry you have one ready to go.....

If you just refill with another flavor after the other is out you might get some remnants of the last flavor and sometimes it may not mix......like having coffee in there and then putting strawberries in it......

as far as batteries they do usually have some charge in them but i always charge them all the way up before i start to use.

thanks for the quick replies! and thanks for the info, so it's okay to get the head wet as well? Should I take the head apart for rinsing as well? and @twosmokes what do you mean my dry burning? Like after a rinse just holding down the button to burn the gunk out and re-rinse?

Yes, remove the base from the tank, and remove the head from the base when you rinse/soak them.

1. I use the EVOD too. Great kit!

2. I vape my DIY tobacco.

3. I don't rinse between refills. I use the same nic liquid all the time.

4. I'm pretty boring when it comes to flavors, so can't tell you what to do about that. I have read that people just put the new flavor on top of the old and the old eventually works it's way out. I can see that, if the clearo is truly empty, but you will have a blend of 2 flavors, at least for awhile, so I would make sure they are compatible. If you rinse between, you will either have to let it dry, or deal with a weak vape til the wick/coil dries.

5. My batteries didn't take long the 1st charge. In my experience, most batteries come partially or fully charged. Your next charges should take longer. When the charger light turns green, it's ready to use, take the battery out.

Hope that helps :) :vapor:
