Hello - noob here as well.

I'm almost 2 days analog free vaping 24mg juice and I've been inhaling into my lungs since I started a few weeks ago. No adverse effects that I can tell.

I've tried it both ways, and found I get a stronger effect with not inhaling - but that I also like the feeling of that vapor getting sucked into my lungs. So maybe alternating one method and the other is one way to approach it, depending on your mood?

Plus, of course, a lot more vapor ends up puffing out if you don't inhale it, which can look pretty cool. ;)

Lung hits are much easier on the Halo Triton. The cheapie to tide me over was just rank/nasty in comparison! But now I'm already in the habit of just pulling into my mouth. At least I've got the option now, especially if I need to stealth vape somewhere :)

Heh - if you end up going "down the rabbit hole" like so many vapers do, you'll probably need more room than a large drawer eventually! :)

Oh boy... I know how I can get about hobbies, and I've already proved you right lol

Yes indeed, backups of the backups.

I'd suggest getting one of the bottom coil units to compare to what you have. The CE4 is a top coil, and vapes a bit different. No right or wrong, just a difference, and you get to make the choice on which you prefer. The Kanger Evod or T3s is a good choice for a bottom coil.

The CE4 is probably NOT rebuildable. Later models like the CE5 are, you can just get new coils / heads for them and keep using the same tube and base. Cheaper. Likewise, the Kangers are rebuildable.

Welcome!

Thanks! I'll have to pick some up and check them out. I really appreciate the recommendations :)

So, my Halo Triton arrived, along with the sampler pack, and wow. Huge difference between something cheap picked up at the local smoke store, and something made properly. The vapor's taste, texture and throat hit (heh, the three T's?) are much smoother and very enjoyable. Now I'm no long vaping to fight the nicotine urge/itch/craziness.

Today is my first day on 12mg, and while I am vaping a bit more, it seems quite manageable. At least I'm not dreaming about eating a pack of cigarettes. LOL

On Monday I start a contract where smoke breaks are allowed, but are annoying. It takes about 20 minutes to walk over to a spot where it's okay to smoke. But my boss, and his bosses told us that it's perfectly okay to vape. I swear, someone must be a vape fan in management. Either that, or hated employees taking 30 minute long breaks to have a smoke. Hehe

Because of this, I picked up another starter kit and the tobacco sampler pack. It'll be a good chance to convert four of my co-workers into vaping :)

Uh, Bill Clinton didn't inhale....

Great to hear that you're doing well, dejena! And being able to vape on the job is great.

Don't fret about vaping "a lot", many of us do. And your body will tell you if you vape too much - over nic will set it off! I started at 24, and when I stepped down to 18 I vaped more often and for longer "sessions." After a while, I started to vape a bit less often, and so on. I expect the same will happen when I next step down the nic.

Just keep thinking of all the stuff you're NOT ingesting :toast:

HI BobC, and welcome to ECF. Lots of us here who've spent way too much money and had way too much fun in this trip of getting off burning tobacco!

Your "mandatory" posts will go by in a hurry.

What brought you to vaping, what are you using, and be sure to ask questions about anything vape related. Just remember that a lot of what you'll get for answers is one person's experience and opinion, that not much is gospel truth!

Smoking for 40+ years, and always loved it, but I know it's killing me, so anything to quit. Tried the Nicotrol inhaler a few years back and it worked for a while, then a couple of very early ecigs, which didn't do the job, now seeing where the technology has advanced to, thought I'd give them another shot. Running with Spinner 1300 and EVODs right now, rebuilding the heating cores, waiting for my VAMO & Protank mini as we speak. I make my own ejuice with a 70/30 VG to PG, with a 10% blend of menthol & Remy Martin VSOP, and a few drops of 100mg Nicotine per ml, two months now and not one analog

Good deal! I smoked for a tad longer than that, went through numerous iterations of the patch, gum, drew the line on Chantix. (Hey, quitting makes you crazy enough, don't need a drug to make you have suicidal thoughts!)

Sounds like you have your "system" set the way it works for you, and that's all that counts!

Of course, it is fun to try different devices...

I've discovered new parts of my lungs! Yay! I was doing some deep breathing meditation in order to calm down over some bad news, and discovered that my lung capacity has shot through the roof :)

Combined with my allergies fading away, and deeper sleeping, it seems like my energy is starting to kick back up.

Uh, Bill Clinton didn't inhale....

Thanks DavidOck! :) I tend to go through swings, but it seems like it's settling down to the normal stuff you see around here, like high nic for the first few hours of the day, and then tapering down. The tough part is trying not to vape too much before bed... That zero nic can't come soon enough!

Way to go BobC! Looks like you've got one more post to hit 5. Here's to the journey :toast:

Oh Chantix... I watched one of my guy friends attempt that. Watching a lawyer have pms is funny for only 30 minutes. After that, you just want to strangle them. I can't imagine what type of torture it would be like to be using Chantix.

Exhaling through your nose really brings out the flavour of the juice.

@dejena
Yeah, my house smells like vanilla too, and I'm lovin' it! Scented candles and/or incense not necessary.

I'm still working on the nasal exhale. Every time I exhale through my nose, it stings like crazy along with the back of my throat. Then again, it also stings when I inhale into my lungs. Perhaps a visit to the doctor is overdue?

What nic level are you vaping. I'm vaping 100% VG @ 18mg and haven't experienced any stinging or burning sensation.

congrats on starting vaping!

Thanks!

I followed both DavidOck and you in terms of the VG bit. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be any different on 100% vg or not. Right now I'm at 9 or 12 mg. About two weeks ago I did end up at urgent care for a persistent fever that would not go away, and apparently my lungs sound amazingly healthy. And the doc doesn't know I was a former smoker! Wooooo!

Well, here's my fifth post LoL, desperately waiting foe my VAMO to come, as the egos & spinners just don't cut it any more, real tired switching & charging as I go through 3 batts a day. Think I'm hitting the vape too much? Can't help it, really like it.

Way to go BobC! Personally, I think you're body will tell you if the vaping is too much. Sounds like it's working for ya! :)

Welcome dejena and Congratulations on changing your Brand to vaping :) I'm new too and I am learning so much from reading these threads.
I'm new as well, but am enjoying learning from everyone

Thanks auntiem and neiceemary! Best of luck to all of us :vapor:
