Good morning, Very Expert vaping Comrades.

:)

Some of my DIY creations are now reaching a vapeable age, so I'm retesting and refining like a madwoman. (Most of them still need work, but that's not the issue at the moment). What's puzzling me here is the fact that my 6mg mixes seem too strong nic-wise, and I've had to mix everything down to 4mg.

Six mg was giving me a headache after about 20 minutes, but 4 mg seems perfectly fine.

Could it be that Vapers Tek nicotine is stronger than whatever is in my premixed Highbrow juices? I've rechecked the numbers 10 times, and I just can't think of any other answer.

I've often wondered if some of the comercial juice makers start off at the base you order, then add the flavor to that, resulting in lower Nic content of the finished juice.

Cheers,
Steve

Off topic but I found this shocking:
Guilty Pleasures sells 30ml bottles of 16mg juice and I recently discovered that they mean 16mg per BOTTLE and NOT per ml. This translates to less than 2mg per ml. I don't know of any other vendor that states their nic level at anything other than mg/ml and GP does not make this clear on their site. Very misleading IMO.

You people are awesome.

:vapor:

I've added PG/VG (the Inawera blend) to all my mixes, and they ought to be about 4mg now - at least according to the numbers. This seems perfectly fine, but I will buy a test kit, just to be on the safe side. I'm such a lightweight when it comes to nicotine that I figure I might as well try to be as precise as possible.

Y'know, that's a very good point.

I don't suppose a thing like that would matter much to somebody vaping 24mg juice, but I bet it would make quite a big difference to low nic folks like me.

When I first started of course I used store bought juices...found 18 to be about right from the craptastic brands I was using...

Ordered up some 18 mg unflavored for my first major bulk liquid purchase and was blown away with how much stronger it was that what was being sold as "18" in the stores. I had to cut it down with PG/VG and ended up at 12 mg before I settled in.

So..I have to say your "wonder" is right on target Steve.
