Noob question...what does 3/2 or 2/1, etc mean?

Timing, like in music. 2/2 time, 3/4 time. You have to tap your foot while wrapping a coil to ensure it's even.







Just kidding. Wraps of wire. Since people typically start wrapping with wire on one side of the wick, and end with wire on the other side of the wick, the number of wraps will be ambiguous. Counting from one side, one might count 5 wraps. But looking at the other side, it only looks like 4 wraps. That's called a 5/4 wrap.
