Noob Question

I recently placed an order and am really stoked to finally start vaping. I have a question though; How long do the EGO 1.5 ohm Dual Coil Mega Cartomizers last and how can you tell when they need changing?

Welcome to vaping Chemicalcopout!! I don't have much experience with those so I can't really help, but I"m sure someone will be along to help you out. I know there are a few mega cart fans around here.

Congrats, and welcome to vaping! I've only tried the mega once and wasn't a huge fan (the ONLY V4L product I haven't loved). I only got 2 refills out of mine, but with proper cleaning and care, regular cartos have lasted me 10+ refills before needing to be scrapped.

The eGO Mega Carts should last for 3-4 full refills. That is about 15-20mLs of e-liquid or half a bottle. The Mega Cart needs (absolutely needs) to be saturate with e-liquid. To fill it up, turn the carto slightly on it's side and pour the e-liquid into the polyfill. You'll also want to top it off every 5-6 hours of vaping time. Since there is so much polyfill, remember it is important to keep it saturated or you will burn it.

Sorry for the whole preface, but you'll want to change the carto when the polyfill turns brown and progressively to black. Signs that you need a new Mega Cart:

- Getting a burnt taste after filling
- Brown black polyfill
- Leaks coming from the bottom of the cart.

Welcome! I love the mega carts, use them with my egos. I can easily keep one going for quite awhile. I have about 5-6 ready to vape with different flavors, just keep topping them off everytime I use them. Some last several weeks. When the poly fill looks icky, or dark like Bham mentioned, then it's time to trash it.

Welcome Chemicalcopout (sir or Ms.?). With the megas the moment you taste something off refill. Because they're dual coils, one sits high in the carto the other low. So when the carto gets about half empty, the top coil can dry out, which leads to a burned carto taste that will not go away. They hold 5ml's of juice, but need filling right around 2.6ml's.
