Okay so I'm very new to the Reo as in my first day with my Reo Grand! Loving the build quality and look. I've been using the vmod xl for the past month or so. I'm running a 1.50ohm hybrid atty from vapage which I really like, but seem to be filling my drip reservoir with juice. Is this normal? Can I buy some sort of shied that goes over the atty to prevent juice in the pocket syndrome?

I think the key is to vape what you squonk brother. It is normal for juice to get in the cup with factory attys but it will drain back down, unless you over squonk it :)

You should consider a RM2. It will take your vaping game to levels you never dreamed of. You can rebuild it in less than 5 minutes and its so easy even super_unmechanical_drifter excels at it. Here's a link to a very easy photo tutorial on how it goes down:

Most of us use the blind squonk with regular atomizers. Don't fire, draw and push on the bottle till you feel a resistance and hear a gurgle. Stop and ready to vape. It only takes a very small amount of juice. About a 1-2 second push on the bottle.

Before sitting your REO down it is best to vape most of the juice out of the atty. There really should not be any juice showing up in the drip well.

i got my first REO about 2 months ago, so i'm pretty much a newbie as well. from my experience, the blind squonk takes a little over a week to get comfortable with. during that week you'll alternately get dry hits from not squonking frequently enough, or flooded attys from over-squonking. if you flood it, just blow out the juice from the atty onto a paper towel, dab the catch cup with the towel and start over.

after a week, the dry hits go away because squonking is becoming more natural. sometime during the second week you'll suddenly realize that it's been a day or two since the last time you flooded an atty. after that, you may occasionally flood one--i think that's natural-- but it will be relatively rare.

that's how it all panned out for me, anyway.

finally, it is a 2-step process to realize that you've arrived:
step one occurs subconsciously: if you still occasionally use a tube mod, you try to squonk it and your brain rebels (...???) when nothing happens. this is natural. no need to call 911...
step two: you consciously wonder why you are still wasting your time with tube mods. this too is natural and completely organic...

YMMV (but probably not by much :)

Sounds like you're pushing the bottle too hard (and perhaps too often). Btw...my sis just switched from the same hybrid atty to the RM2 (also sold by Rob at Reosmods). She's LOVING it. :)

I've had my REO a couple of months now and I constantly over squonk it! Also if you find its just sitting and not draining back into the bottle try increasing the bottle a bit, that usually allows it to drain back in quickly. I'm not sure what causes it but it happens to me all the time. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong than the REO itself. lol

Update for everyone... I've been blind sqonking tonight with great success. And even better I've added sqonking to my droids vocabulary... Lol I'm all set. Drip well dry and happy vaping now!

I'm very tempted to get the rm2 but any feedback on flavor difference between the hybrid I'm using and that rebuildable? I'm really a fan on the pure flavor I'm getting from this vapage hybrid. Will the rm2 give the same flavor/vapor experience? Given I can build a good wick/coil?

I used that very combination (hybrid/rm2) and can tell you there is a massive difference. Not counting the cost difference ($10/atty vs $0.07/build) there is also a difference in flavor. The RM2 delivers a consistent vape that is much greater and flavorful than the hybrid. With what I am using (microcoil w/cotton) I never get a dry hit, nor any flooding. I can vary the heat of my vape by changing the resistance of the coil. I never have to deal with a gunked up atty, as I can change out the cotton wick in about 1 minute or less. (Includes dry burning the coil.) The flavor is much more intense with the RM2 vs the hybrid as well.

Bunker, check this photo, step by step tutorial on a very simple (but awesome) build on the RM2 out:
RM2 / RBA 2.0 / Reomizer 2 Rebuild Tutorial
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=413000

You CAN do it and aside from your REO and batteries, the RM2 is the best $43 youll ever spend on vape gear :)

Edit: corrected bad link

If you can learn to build good coil set-ups, then your rebuildable atomizer (any REBUILDABLE atty) will most certainly outperform a disposable atomizer. I promise you that much. Now, there is a learning curve you need to get through before your rebuildables will be working top notch, but its a night at the desk and your basically done lernining and on your way to wrapping some righteous beastly coilage brah.

I was hesitant at first, had used cartos for one and a half years. Well I got RM2 followed Robs video and was off and vaping in 20 minutes, after 2 days I was building micro coils, which I use now. I can assure you that I am no mechanical genius. Wish I had jumped on board sooner. Rely on this Reo forum, Robs video and order the RM2, you will not be sorry. Good Luck.

You know what else works, buy another REO and rock the 1.7 super shorty cartos on it (or any carto)
Cartos never get juice in the cup :)

Hey any excuse to buy another REO .... Right ??

I rolled with the REO and cartos for over two years because I am a fanatic about juice drips.
I mean really fanatic. I recently sold the most beautiful mod because it would leave on drop on top of the battery every time I swapped batts. Good thing is though I got twice what I paid for it :) But not for that one drop per day I would still be using it and loving it.

The RM2 holds enough juice under the ceramic that it can leak out the hole when tipped even if you vape it dry. It won't go into the catch cup but it goes somewhere you don't want. The chalice never leaks a drop for me neither in the cup or out the air hole (I think because the air hole is so small it wont come out)
