I just got my first order of vaping stuff and have a few questions before I start using it. I got 3 ego C Twist 1000mah, a handful of Vivi Nova clearomizers and a wall charger. I also got a selection of various small juices from Heather's thingy.

The Vivi Novas are a mix of 2ml and 3.5ml with 2.4ohm coils, and some 2.4 and 2.8 ohm replacements. I think they are Vivis anyway, that's what the Altsmoke invoice says, but the box says Altsmoke. Maybe they just put their name on them.

My main question is what voltage setting to use with each coil type. I guess it's partly personal preference with how hot you like your smoke, but I don't want to wear stuff out too fast by using it wrong. I saw a voltage/ohm chart around here once but I can't find it right now.

Do you wash the clearomizers each time you change to a different type of juice, or can you just put in the new one and keep smoking?

Do the ego Twists usually come with a manual? I didn't get one, they just came in a bag.

When you are typing a post on this site it periodically says "auto-saved". Where is it saving it to? This is the second time I have written this post because something went wrong the first time, so I was hoping maybe I could find a saved copy. When I hit submit the last time it said I didn't have permission to see the page and acted like I wasn't logged in, then I had to start over.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

On my twist I use mainly the 2.4 heads at about 4.2v. The clearos don't really seem to like that much higher voltage. I save my 1.8 heads for my kgo's. Once you get it set up just start raising the voltage and see what you like. I actually have sep clearos for my fave juices, but I use my biggest vivi for my all day vape. About every two days I wash all parts and dry burn the coil rinse and it's good to go.

I think this is the chart you're speaking of?

As for cleaning, I usually disassemble the vn and rinse with hot water. Here's you a vid /w Phil doing a cleaning:

If I'm in a hurry and the juices are similar, I just unscrew the tube, wipe it out /w a paper towel, dab the wicks dry, dry the tube a bit, refill and off I go. The new flavor usually filters through fairly quickly.

I have no experience with the minis.. sorry.

Ok thanks for that. I had my first ever vape last night. I set it for 3.8v with a 2.4ohm coil and that seemed ok, I got enough vapor and it was an ok smoking experience for the first attempt I think. I tried it at 4v too but that seemed a bit harsh. Not sure if .2v difference can do that or if it was just my imagination.

How do you "dry burn" a coil, and what does that do for you? Do you just hit the button on the battery with no juice loaded and let it burn for a while?

That's the right chart, thanks a lot. I also found it again here:

I'll check out the video, thanks for that too. My first vape was from Heather's Heavenly Vape, Heavenly Tobacco. It wasn't bad but too sweet for long-term use, for my taste anyway. I'll have to try some others tonight.

I run my 2.4 ohm Nova Mini head at 4.4V currently. I just found out today that it gives me much better vapor and taste. I am pretty sure 4.5V is about the limit for a 2.4 ohm head so don't be afraid to up it if you want. I was using it at 4V and decided to crank it up a bit this morning to see what happened. At 4.2V I didn't really like it but at 4.4V it is fantastic. So I do think that .2V can make a difference.
