Thanks cskent! I am *hoping it's a KR808. The only reference I have visually is from a pic I found on here. But have no idea if the components are the same inside. I am going to scan the brochure that shows the "guts" and verify it.

If you can post a pic someone will tell you what you've got for sure. There's a lot of knowledgeable people on ECF. Once you know for sure you can get advice on spare parts, which by the way are a necessity.

Hi Christy, glad to see you on here with us.

I took the liberty of doing some checking and OMG does have a web site of sorts at Smokefree e-cigarette refills

They evidently do not have a permanent home base and make frequent references to "being on the road." I couldn't tell from anything I read if this was a KR808D-1 or compatible.

I was sad when I saw the price of their Starter Kit for what they give you. But lets not dwell on that.

My suggestion is to go to Vapor4Life or any other good company and get a KR808D-1. If its compatible with what you have ... fine. If you do this, get the Premium or WOW Vapor Cartomizers. Their the best. I use the V4L KR808D-1 and as far as I'm concerned, I don't think I need anything else.

Now, a lot of folks are going to jump in here and recommend a Joye 510 or eGo or some mod ... and their all going to be right. There's a lot of real good units available and even more good suppliers. You'll have to read some of these Threads and make up your own mind about that.

The important thing is YOU getting away from cigarettes and enjoying the vaping experience.

Hope this is of some help to you and best of luck.

Welcome Christy

Glad you made it here. A lot of info here that will keep you busy reading for quite awhile, and also a lot of good people around here to help answer any questions you might have along the way.

I turn 40 this February also. The 9th to be exact. Man I remeber when 40 sounded sooooooo old.

The 26th here.. and I remember thinking the same thing. :D

Morning/Afternoon and thanks for all the notes from other newbies like me and all of you experienced people as well. It's actually BECAUSE of you that I am *trying to stick with this. This forum and the effort you all have gone to, to help make MY decision to do this stick still amazes me. I think that from *some of my past experiences on boards where people were mean turned me off until I met you all. Has it only been about 24 hours? :D I feel bad that I haven't been able to reply personally to everyone yet.. but as I sit at work on "hold" I thought that I would kick out a note.. I'm frustrated!!

First, I haven't had a spare moment to get a good pic of this unit to send out so I know that it's tough to give specific advice when you don't know what I am complaining about. But here we go:

TexasT Thanks so much for doing that checking FOR me! I have not looked fully at what you have sent.. but I intend to ASAP. And you are RIGHT-- I paid a ton. $150.00 for starter kit and 3 (5 in ea) boxes of carts. Sad here as well because... Well, you know what? I am going to start a new thread because it may help someone else as well. Who was it that started their "Welcome" with this: :toast: ?? I'll take that now please! :(

You're lucky you didn't hear what he said about how long they should last.
There is at least an 85% chance it wouldn't have been remotely true.
:)

And can I say that YOU ARE RIGHT!! I just read some of what TexasT sent to me and these carts are supposed to be equiv to 2 packs according to a website. Um, I am on 3rd cart on day two.

Christy, welcome and "Beware", these people are crazy! I've been here for about a month and they are creepy friendly, like they actually care.......oh the things I've already seen. The suppliers will answer emails like its a chat window, people will recommend all types of ways to save money, they will congratulate you everyday on quitting the "analogs", they even have a "Pay It Forward" group and give each other stuff for free! They have "MeetUps" and wait til you hear about "Vapefest"!
You're gonna just love it, welcome to your new addiction, no not ecigs but ECF!
