Hello everyone I recently purchased a E cigg from the local smoke shop for my g/f in a attempt to at least maybe help her quit or not reek up the house so much :D. He had two different brands and the first one I bought, the usb charger literally fell apart in my hands after screwing the cigg in to it. I dont remember the brand It might of been pure-smoke. So I called the shop owner and complained he looked it dumbfounded for about 10 mins and then exchanged it for a different brand called Health E-Ciggerette i think, youll have to forgive me its not in front of me with a style different charger. The actual cig box has a set of prongs that slide out to a standard wall outlet which I thought would be better. She tried it as I dont smoke ciggerettes so I wouldnt be able to tell if it was any good. She wasnt crazy about the taste and she normally smokes Marb lights. Anyways we ran out of the cartridges that came with it and the guy at the store is selling refills 10 for $30 which I think I can do better online. Problem is I cant find much info on this brand. For all I know they could be total garbage lol.

Im wondering if the cartirdges are a universal type of thing or they are specific to each e cig? All I know is the ones that came with it had a tin foil layer and the atomizer has a point on it that punctures it. Anyways thanks guys, looking for some advice

Don't go away, you won't believe all the replies you will get soon.

But for now I will tell you that you'll be wanting to ditch the whole idea of prefilled cartridges.
You will be wanting to buy bottles of liquid that you can use to refill them.

That is MUCH cheaper, with a MUCH wider assortment of flavors.
And at least 20 of those flavors will make your girlfriend very happy.
:)

1. Can you remove the cart and see a white material? If yes, then it can be refilled but the atty may burn out or the white material may start to desolve.
2. My best suggestion would be, research, research, research. i did this for atleast a month before purchasing.
3. Im not saying to buy top of the line but "You get what you pay for"
4. There are all kinds of flavors out there, surely one will satisfy. Buy sample packs, just remember the may be a little "watered down".
Good luck and give it some time, my vap works better and better eveyday.

For right now, you probably could just get some liquid from your local smoke shop (not in prefilled carts, assuming they sell liquid in bottles) and simply refill the spent carts that came with the ecig you have. If the shop has any Virginia Flu Cured flavor, try that, lots of former marlb light smokers like that flavor. If your local shop doesn't carry liquid, there are many online retailers that do. If the carts that came with your model didn't have any polyfil, you may want to add a small bit of fluff when refilling them. [See americaneliquidstore]

The suggestion to get a different model ecig with lots of readily available parts and accessories is probably a good one in the long run.

* lots of people rave about the 510, lots of vapor, but less flavor

* krd808 is a very popular 2 piece model if you want to go with the convenience of the 2 piece route (see vapor4life .com)

* the m401/402/403 is a popular 3 piece mini/super-mini model, very close in size to real cigs, lots of flavor, but less vapor (i have this model)

* the dse901 is another popular 3 piece piece model, nice balance of flavor and vapor (so i've heard)

The options are kind of bewildering, but as you've discovered, there is a ton of info available in this forum to help you figure things out. And once you do figure out how to work the ecigs, they really can deliver what a smoker "needs". (At least for me. I got my m40x kit less than a month ago. I've been entirely smoke free for close to a week now.)

question about the 510s...it seems so cheap and they say disposable so does that mean they expect you to toss the whole thing and buy another 510? Also is the 510 easily refillable with the liquid? Id have to buy it online the shop near me doesnt sell the liquid just the carts...

And im guessing from your guys repsonses I shouldnt waste my time refilling the carts on my ehealth e cig carts??

The disposable 510 is a dirt cheap $10 bucks because its not expected to last very long (a handful of recharges only, although some people have gotten more than that out of it). The regular 510s should last much much longer than that (hundreds of recharge cycles). Either should be easy to refill.

I guess the point behind the disposable model is to 'try it' for not a lot of money up front. (Although I could also see taking a disposable small boat sailing or water skiiing, in some kind of environment where the chances were high that it would get damaged.)

I see that cignot.com has a good price on a 510 kit (non disposable), and they carry ECOpure juice in small bottle sizes too. Although they're missing the nicotine level thats good to try first, 16-18 mg.

So long as the battery and atty work reasonably well, no reason not to use it. Refilling is trivial given some liquid. (Remove the polyfill, rinse, air dry, restuff and drip new liquid in... boom done). If you get a different model, you could use the one you have now for comparison purposes to figure out what you like or don't like about a model.

Air drying the filling is not the best way to go about it, in my opinion.
It is hard to know when it is dry and it takes way too long.

Smashing it a few times between a paper towel until there is no water left is easy.
It works perfectly and only takes about 20 seconds.

Hello Bword,
I did some research on this great forum....and I mean great...before buying my Ego...All I can say is the Ego is expensive, but really delivers...Cost me $79.00 U.S. dollars for the starter kit, (or less than 2 cartons of analogs). Seeing this is starting my third week vaping, I have already recovered the initial cost...And the biggie, the Ego works fantastic....Easy to re-load with juice...and the battery lasts forever...
Hopes this helps... Again, not cheap, but for me worth it...
Later,
PaulCincy....

you might try the 510 disposable, and a few flavors to go with it, less invested, and you can see if it is something she might like. What you got from the reviews I have read, and I wish I could find those links, it is built quite shoddy to say the least, and the flavor is horrid. So at least try one of the disposable 510's for her, and see what she likes and dislikes about it. Not much lost if she does not like it, and if she does, could save a ton of money, as well as her life further down the road.

If your g/f is lucky and got a decent battery with the kit you bought, it's not that it's ALL that bad for a starter, but the worst thing I read in your post was the price of the refills. That's robbery for any kind of cart, but it's even worse for the one you got, because it hardly holds any juice at all. I got a couple of those off eBay just to have as spares or whatever, since they were so cheap. You could research here and get something else or you could get a bottle of juice and refill the one you have, but you'll eventually need a new battery and/or atomizer (probably atomizer fairly soon), so you might be better off at least preparing to buy something else when that time comes. You'll need to take into account how willing she will be to tinker with things, refill, etc., because they do take some tinkering. You might also want to try to find out if she'll insist on having something that looks like a real cigarette. When I first started, I thought that was necessary (but it's not). You might suggest, though, that she give the thing a couple of short "primer" puffs before she draws on it and inhales, like puff, puff, boom, lol. That preheats the atomizer a bit and lets it heat better.

If a facsimile of a real cig is a priority for your girl... the m40x model may be the best of those that have the size and appearance of a real cig. That's what I have and I just love it. The PCC is about the size of a pack of 100s analogs (real cigs), and the 402 batt is about the size of a 100 analog, and the 403 batt is about the size of a std king size cig. I take these with me when I'm out for the day/night. The thing produces nice tasting warm vapor (and clouds of it with VG liquids). From what I've read, this model brings out good flavor. It tastes good to me, but this is the only model I've used so its hard for me to compare.

I am interested in a trying a couple other for various reasons...

The kr808d also has a short batt option which helps to mimic an anolog. The larger batt is somewhat longer than a 100. This is a two piece model that takes a cartomizer with a larger liquid capacity (3x larger) than the m40x model. There's less fuss and tinkering with the two piece models. I'm intersted in this model for the convenience factor... plug on one cart and go for most (if not all) day... no atty maintenance since you get new carts (with attys built in) regularly... supported by what appears to be a really good vendor (vapor4life).

The joye510 and dse901 are a bit longer than analogs, and I think may make more visible vapor and have somewhat larger carts than the m40x. Also many many MODs are made with adapters for these two attys... i'm guessing that's no coincidence.

Hope that helps and good luck.
