Hello, everyone, I've been reading a lot in these forums lately since I'm new to e-smoking and I think is time to ask a few questions, great forum by the way!!!

First of all, I have a dse901 and one battery is acting really weird, lots of times, while smoking regularly, the led stays lit for a few seconds and then flashes 10 times and then it heats the atomizer in a way very similar to the auto cleaning process, this happens a lot, at least 5 times everytime I use that battery, I'm kinda of scared that this could cause the dead of my atomizer since it happens a lot, what would you sugest me? Do I get rid of the battery or should I just keep using it? Also, is there any way to open the batterry to see if I can at least try to fix it?

Another question, how do you exactly measure the ammount of nicotine that you use, for example, I smoked about 30 cigarettes a day, the 20's box said 1mg nicotine (so lets say 1.5mg a day), how do I measure that against lets say a 10ml bottle of 18mg nicotine every 10 days (I'm guessing it's 18mg of nicotine every cm3 right?)

Also, I'm about to order some e-liquid from totally wicked, what flavor do you suggest? The one that could come closer to a real cigarette?

One last thing, as I understand it, the screwdriver battery fits de dse901 atomizer, is this right? If thats the case, where could I buy that battery?

Thanks in advance everyone!

Hi Joz, welcome to the forum.

I can help with the nicotine maths. You smoked 30x1mg cigs per day so will be used to 30mg per day. Nicotine in eliquid is measured in mg per ml, so 16mg eliquid is 16mg per 1ml. Two drops of 16mg eliquid is close to 1.6mg of nicotine or 1.6 cigs (there are around 20 drops in 1ml).

EDIT
Just to add that Johnson Creek do not measure in mg per ml, they measure mg per 1.2ml.

I can't answer all your questions here but the screwdriver is an ecig device that uses rechargeable batteries which fit into the "handle". The 901 atomizer is then screwed on to it.

The batteries are not attached directly to the atomizer like your regular 901 battery. The screwdriver device costs around $150 or so. Parts not sold separately....lol

I just started e-smoking myself this week. The 16mg cartridges I was using were ok but they just weren't satisfying the hit I was used to in real cigarettes. I've been a 1 1/2 to 2 pack a day Marlboro red smoker for 30 years now. I ordered the 36mg bottle of the Tobacco flavor from Totally Wicked and I was amazed how much it was just like smoking a Marlboro. 36mg is really potent though it will get you. May try the 24mg the next time or dilute it a little with the 16mg I got.

If your led is lighting up without you drawing on it, that sounds to me like the switch in the battery is a little sticky. The 901 will turn off after 5 seconds. If you switch is sticking on then it will hit that pretty quicky and flash the led to show it has tuned off. As soon as that is done it will turn on again and heat the atomizer.

If you have any warranty on it contact the seller and arrange for a replacement.

It is definitely sticking on then, It comes and goes, I'm using that battery right now since all the others are out of charge but it's working ok for the time being. It's a shame but this item is sold without any warranty where I live.

Anyway, I'm going to buy 3 more batterys cause it's a little hard to start charging them when I go out on weekends, and I'm trying to avoid having to go back to analogs.

Thanks again everyone.

I had one doing exactly the same thing. I would recommend anytime you are not using it to unscrew the batt from the atomizer. At least then it won't waste any charge or heat up the atomizer at the wrong time.
Also sometimes if it got particularly sticky i would take the battery off and give it a good sharp blow.

I took my one apart just to see if i could do anything with it. I ended up using some parts from it to make my own usb battery.

Hi Joz--you are correct that the Screwdiver made from a flashlight has a 901 connector and uses a 901 Atomizer. --Hope that helps--Sun:)
