I am 42, smoked for 26 years, and never had any random nose bleeds until I started vaping. I have been vaping just over 2 years and in the last year I have had a handful (5/6) of random nose bleeds. The past couple months I have started drinking more water, 1.5 to 2L a day, and it has subsided. I am no medical professional, but in my case it seemed to be a drying out issue, which vaping PG can cause, plus I live in Arizona. Your case might be totally different, but upping your water intake, and remaining diligent about it, would be the first place I would start. Like I said, this is just my experience with a similar issue, if you want an educated diagnosis you need to see a doctor.

Googling just about any medical condition will inevitability lead back to cancer, so I typically try to avoid that. (said in jest)

I had nosebleeds once in a while when I was a kid. I wasn't vaping or smoking then. I grew up in an area of northern Idaho that has very low humidity for most of the year. From this, I know that nosebleeds can happen for causes unrelated to vaping.

After I started vaping and reduced my cigarette smoking I had trouble with dry and sore nostrils and nasal passages. I live in a part of California where there is very low humidity for most of the year and the dryness happened during low humidity. I did two things that improved the situation.

1. I switched from high percentage PG to high percentage VG juice.
2. I used a saline solution nasal spay several times a day for a couple of weeks.

The dry nasal passages cleared up. I still don't know what improved the situation.

So, if you are having nosebleeds look into the possibility that you have dry nasal passages that could be reacting to quitting smoking. Or the vaping is causing the drying. Or the climate is causing drying. Regardless, the saline nasal spray will provide the quickest relief. Any drugstore will stock this product.

Then again, nosebleeds can happen.

Unless you have some underlying condition, I can assure you its dehydration. Vaping drys you out, if you get too dried out, too dehydrated, the nose bleed is the first symptom that you WILL notice. For me, it almost like my sinus`s and nose are the warning signs that I have not been drinking enough water. First the sinus`s will get pretty well backed up, if I don`t take heed of this warning sign, and drink lots of water, at least two quarts a day, the nose bleed will be next (pretty minor I will add). When I make a conscience effort to drink enough water, at least two quarts a day, then everything is fine and dandy.

How Much Water Should You Drink Every Day?

Good luck.

I had this happen to me. 3 scary runny nosebleeds (Prior to this, I've only ever had a bloody nose when a fist was involved) I was afraid it was vaping, but I had other things going on too: confusion, fatigue, focus issues. I was so worried about it that I went to a neurologist and got tested, and an MRI. It turned out to be a mild sinus infection. It went away.

I still don't know if vaping caused/contributed it to it, but I've upped my vaping quite a bit and I haven't had any more nosebleeds. I get some bloody boogers, but its winter in the northeast and I have wood heat so the air is pretty dry. I don't think it was vaping related.

I tend to quickly blame everything on vaping. I once had a terrible stomach issue that caused me to throw up all night. It happened a second time and I blamed it on too much vaping, specifically putting my drip tip too far into my mouth. I figured I was inhaling vapor directly into my stomach. Upon reflection, I believe that I had food poisoning because the issue has not resurfaced.

Now the film on my car windows...definitely vape related.

We both know vaping didn't cause this. I know you are embarrassed about this. But you don't need to be embarrassed. You can embrace it. Embrace the joy of your NOSE PICKING! That's what I do now! I used to live in the shadows and shame. Now I pick freely (though I have been asked to stop during sermon at church because apparently my nose picking is mesmerizing to the pastor and he forgets what he is saying). I've found this tool very helpful. Live free my friend.

Ha! I don't hide that. It's so much of a joke that my daughter now does it and my wife blames me, however, nose picking doesn't cause blood to pour out of your nose.

Sure it does if you dig hard enough. It's like being in the olympics...you have to want it and be willing to dig down deep for that part of you that's a winner!

When my sinuses/throat got burned with too much PG, then I caught a cold, my sinuses and nasal passages were miserable for a couple of weeks, including sudden nosebleeds, like when I sneezed or blew my nose or something. I think the mucous membrane were just fragile because of the PG irritation PLUS the cold, so they cracked easily, and would bleed. Vaping can really dry out the mouth and sinus/nasal passages, and I think a high level of PG can make it worse.

Is your mouth dry? Are you thirsty? Does your vape taste off? Dry nose, sinus? These are signs that you are not drinking enough water. Drink a lot of water, then drink more. Do it all day long not just when you think you need to. Coffee, soda, beer, wine etc. will not do the trick. It needs to be water.
