You are not a cheapskate, you are being inconvenient :)

All the time put into messing around cleaning bottles, peeling stickers... time is money too, at least for me. It actually may be more valuable than money. #perspective
Yet, here you are wasting time/money telling others how to live!
That is only true if you have money. Everyone has 24 hours per day. If you have more time than money, you use what you have.
If you believe time is money, then either can be used in lieu of the other.
No one ever dies wishing they had more money. And I never saw a Brinks truck in a funeral procession.

As someone who'd really do better with plastic squeeze bottles than droppers (but I use glass anyway I prefer it) I can attest that eliquid does a great job on labels, glue, sharpie, etc. I've been known to have more trouble keeping labels ON than getting them off. LOL. Glue and sharpie marker and everything. I usually just wash the bottle in warm water, then remove the label and replace it, so I know what I'm "using".

You just gotta get messier, you'll be absolutely fine :D

I still have Zippo fluid around. Makes a great solvent, and easy to wash off.
Naptha.

If the label doesn't come off, you can burn it with fire.

Labels tend not to stick well on my glass boston rounds unless the glass is squeaky clean. Windex w/vinegar does a good job of cleaning the glass so that labels stay on. That's also true for the LDPE thin tip bottles.

I still like glass better because I can see the true color of my juice and monitor steeping progress easier.
