This feels a bit strange.

I've been vaping since 2009. It's this forum that I first got the inspiration. Since then I've seen "ecigs" become apvs and rda's. I've gone from turning flashlights into mods and now I'm considering creating my own e-liquid steeped in vanilla oak barrels. What's left? A new system for vaporizing liquid. I'm waiting for a new form of heating that doesn't involve coils and has a massively reduced power consumption.

I'm a member of CASAA, and I do in fact hope regulation comes, but in a way that is not disruptive to how we love to vape. For example...I wouldn't at all mind if advertising on TV was banned (or billboards for that matter). I also wouldn't mind the banning of cig-a-likes altogether. I'd rather our devices didn't look like analogues and I'd like for them to fall out of fashion with the young and immature. What I fear most is over-taxation, banning of online sales and banning of eliquid outside of a cartridge or disposable.

I wouldn't mind a bit of regulation either, such as age verification and the like. Hell, I have to prove via driver's license information that I'm over 18 just to get my cigarette coupons mailed to me. But I wouldn't dig advertisement banning. Were it not for word of mouth, I never would've realized e-cigs had progressed past cig-a-likes. I never would've found this forum. I was amazed at the changes in this arena, and was very surprised it isn't advertised more often. It could reach and change the lives of millions of people, more so than now.

In the same boat as you, and I'm glad to have stepped up from cig-a-likes haha.
