Hi - Thanks for the suggestions. When I bought the XL I thought I wasn't paying over the odds (£27.99 with a 10ml eco-pure) but I guess I'll research further and compare. It came with two clearomisers and now that I think about it one is probably better than the other. For instance I have been vaping on the spare one this evening and it has been okay. I'll look into those you suggested.
Thank you all.
Ah, don't get me wrong. You did just fine with that price. Many of the big name vendors (Intellicig, Apollo, Liberty Flights, VIP, Vapouriz, Totally Wicked) know they can't market a kit at too expensive a price, so they are aware of the going rate and charge that, or close to that.
It's what happens after that is where they make their money off their ever-so-valued customer base.
Intellicig Proglass is £9.99. I got two this morning (free, as it happens) from a vendor that charges £5.49.
They charge £15.99 for a 5 pack of heads. I got mine for £9.99 less 10% discount, making them £9.00.
£4 here or there (£7 for the heads) might seem insignificant, but a year down the line, you could be easily talking hundreds of pounds spent unnecessarily.
.. and then, there is the price of the liquid.
The thing about vaping is the prices are all over the place. If you walked into Tesco tomorrow and they were charging £3.50 for 4 pints of milk you bought in Asda the day before for £1.80, you'd think it a bit cheeky.
Would a smoker pay £16.00 for a pack of 20, when exactly the same product is £8.50. I don't think so.
Forget the "oh, but it's cheaper than smoking" bit. The big companies (including the Tobacco ones now, regrettably) are happy to pretend products are a certain price, when they are not.
Look at Apollo e-cigs. They say a mini Protank is RRP £15.99 and you can have it for £12.99 because it's your lucky day. When, actually, Myepack will charge you just £5.99.
So - there it is. Take it or leave it.
I spent £500+ on
NOT giving up my 15-a-day smoking habit. I needed help and advice to get the job done. So, that's why I'm here.
