Hi
Not happy, it tastes horrible. I have read that so many people are happy with there vaping experience. I am just finding it unbearable. I can not describe the taste probably a plastic. I have a few puffs of it then I really do not want any more I miss that sitting down and having a few good puffs. I have ordered a cherry and a menthol do you think this will make me a bit more content?

Thanks Phil.

could be a few reasons why you may not like what you're vaping.
if you are using cartomizers, it's either not saturated properly, it could be burnt, or that flavor just might not be all that great. Have you tried other flavors?
if you are using a clearomizer, the wick not be saturated enough to give you the flavor you want.
what setup do you have?
i hardly EVER hear anyone say they don't like vaping. It all depends on what your taste buds like, and what level of nicotine fits you

Hey Phil, sorry to hear it isn't working for you. Some of the more senior members here will want to know what equipment (model?) and brand you are using to try to help you get the best experience with vaping

I am sure there are quite a few senior members in the UK that will be more than willing to give you ideas on where to go to get the best equipment and juice

Just keep checking back here for more info

It would be helpful to know exactly what battery device and juice delivery device that you are using. Are you using a "cigalike"? An eGo?

What juice flavors have you tried so far? Juice flavors are all across the board in what people like. Taste is extremely subjective. If you started out with a tobacco flavor thinking it would taste like a cigarette...I'm sorry to report that you won't find any. It's impossible to make a flavor taste like burning tobacco and smoke. Once you have successfully given up the cigarettes, you will realize that you don't want a flavor that tastes like one.

Many vapors find they need to try several or more flavors until they find one that is "right" for them. It is all trial and error. Best way to find the one for you is to purchase some samples or smaller-sized bottles of many flavors, perhaps from different vendors. Once you find one you like, you can purchase more in a larger bottle.

Also be aware that your taste buds have been damaged from years of smoking, and your taste will be off. This will improve over time. A tip to use is to exhale some of the vapor through your nose, to allow your nose to help "taste" your flavors. It works.

It is not necessary to inhale your e-cig's vapor into your lungs to get its nicotine. Nicotine in vapor is absorbed in the mucous membranes of your mouth and nose. Be sure to drink plenty of water while you vape; the Pg and Vg in the e-liquid draws water from our bodies, so that must be replenished. Dry mouth can contribute to the "vapor's tongue" described above.

Don't give up easily. Vaping can get you off of cigarettes if you are truly commited to quit. You'll be able to get a lot of advice and support right here, so don't be shy.

Cheers Jim and every body else. It is a V1P PCC starter kit - STARTER KITS - All Products. I read over 300 reviews before I bought it and not one person said they did not get on with it. I am using a Virgin Tobacco 34 ml.

1)Strong enough nicotine level is a high priority to find it a satisfying experience, at least initially. Aim for a higher level and get some the next notch down in strength too.

2)Good gear (tank, battery, etc.) is essential. The best juice will taste like nothing (or worse) in a poorly made or improperly used device.

If you are seriously trying to switch completely I recommend avoiding the tobacco flavor juices at the start. The secret is finding a flavor of juice that you like *better* than the taste of a cigarette and believe me, they are out there. That's provided you have #1 and #2 covered as well.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Depending on how much you smoke it can take several days for your sense of smell and your tastebuds to return to normal, once you quit smoking, and you will likely see noticeable improvement over the following weeks and even months. Drink lots of water too. Initially I favored very strong flavors like licorice (anise seed, absinthe, etc.), some of the chocolates and coffees and of course the mint flavors because the more "subtle" flavors were completely lost to my poor taste buds that had been tortured by a pack and a half a day of smokes for almost 30 years. A month later and I'm enjoying the other flavors much more now too.

Best of luck and remember we are all here to help! :)

Thanks for your advise I wont be going back to the real ones. I am so shocked with myself for trying. I have been a heavy smoker for over 30 years and just decided to give it a go. After my first go on the e cig I decided I was giving up and have not had one since. It has only been 2 days but that is the longest I have been without one for over 30 years. But I do miss having a good puff with my cuppa t.

I also started with a cig-alike and it was the most horrible thing I had ever tried, went right back to analogs I did. After that I saw my sister with the strangest looking thing-a-ma-bob and asked her all about it, I ordered that thing and got it in the mail and have been happily vaping from that moment on. Very much like what Red_Bird suggested.

Whatever juice delivery system you're using you have to make sure that your wicking material is always wet with plenty of juice in it. It sounds like you're experiencing dry hits. Some clearos are fidgety that way, some you have to twirl it around to make sure the juice gets to the wicks if they're top coil devices.

Since I started using the Kanger T3 I haven't had any problems. It's a bottom coil device. No dry hits and no twirling around as an orchestra conductor.

Clicked the link and read the details.

Not knowing anything about that vendor and whether the so-called "reviews" are legit or not, I'd have to admit I'd never recommend that starter kit. Very weak battery (150 mAh means it will only last one to two hours long before needing a charge). Not a fan of pre-filled cartomizers, either, but many new vapors demand them believing they don't want the hassle of filling their own.

Just know there are FAR BETTER products available if you are serious about stopping smoking. I'm sorry you didn't come here asking for opinions of that kit before you purchased it, we would have steered you to something much better.

I would have to agree that this kit is really not the best for beginning with. Going for something like an eGo starter kit would produce far better results for you in my opinion. I would also tend to very seriously doubt the validity of those reviews. Even some of the best equipment out there rarely gets page after page of five star reviews. Unfortunately I would tend to think that the reviews posted there is nothing more than marketing hype for a flimsy product at best. At the very least, maybe a positive that came out from your experience is that you found the forums here and won't spend any more money on that kit.
