Not enough nic....

Sigh, I started vaping at 12mg and I ordered a bunch of 6mg juice last week. I got my first few bottles on Friday, but I found out really quick that the nic level is just not satisfying and I find myself glued to my PV:facepalm: My goal is to drop down to 0, but I think I took a too drastic of a drop. So, my question is:

What should I order to bring my 6mg nic juice up to 9 or 10mg?

I was thinking of ordering some 50/50 straight nic juice, but I do not want to dilute the great flavors down. What strength should I go with to boost up the nic strength to 9-10 without massively diluting flavor? From where? Freedom Smokes?

I want to keep the 50/50 ratio as well, or any small variation of it, and the bottles I have coming are 10ml bottles from VaperDudes and ECBlends.

I think this might also be a great way to save some $$?

Ok, sorry to ramble and thanks for any help!

Order the same flavors in 12 mg, mix them 50/50, and you will have 9. Problem solved.

That would work, but not the most economical solution. If its the only one, then so I will do. I was looking at the cost of unflavored nic juice, and the price is right, might try getting some 36mg and reducing the ratio. This should resolve the issue with diluting too much....hopefully....or maybe even 48mg...

Wizard labs sell a 24mg 50/50 PG/VG solution, so, theoretically, you would only need flavoring.

24mg Nicotine solution - 120ml

I was on 18mg and I got some samples from Virgin Vapor that were at 12. I ordered 18 and found the KCM somewhat unvapable at 18mg. Fortunately, I had ordered it with the extra flavor shot and I was able to reduce it to a pleasant 12mg with VG. I use the e-juice calculator at eJuice Recipe Calculator to adjust my 18 down, so perhaps you can use it to adjust yours up. I also get my DIY bases from Wizard Labs. I always order my vendor juices with the extra flavor so minor adjustments don't affect the flavor much at all. It may not help you with what you have now, but in the future, order your juices with extra flavor so they can be adjusted to your sweet spot.

Found Tasty Vapor a couple of years ago. They sell "doublers" -- which are larger sizes of the same flavor you like, with no nicotine. I've been stuck on their Cafe Machiatto for two years. Just a great-tasting vape, to me.

I order the 48mg nic strength, then use their Cafe Machiatto "doubler" to dilute it down to 24mg strength (which is generally where I like it), or maybe 16mg strength (1/3 nic juice, 2/3 doubler juice).

If you wish, you could keep "doubling" your favorite flavor down to 0mg nic juice and just vape the doubler with no sacrifice in flavor.

They make all their juices to order, so they're fresh.

No, I'm not a paid shill. No, I haven't loved ALL their flavors I've tried (their menthol, to me, was unvapable; maybe they've changed their recipe). But I found one I really loved: I can "double" it more economically to whatever nic-level I like, and their service is terrific.

Yeah that's what I'm about to do as I just ordered from them but adding flavor will lower the nic content a little so expect around 22mg nic with flavor depending on how much flavor you add.

If you order a high concentration nicotine juice, it'll only take a couple drops to bring you up a few mg in nic content. It won't alter your flavor or PG/VG ratio that much. But do be careful when handling high nic concentrates.

As for the math, it's simple, add your nic concentrate by the ml. With your 6mg juice, I'll assume at 15 ml, you have 6mg of nicotine per ml. Now, take your concentrate, say 48mg nic per ml. You just take 6 times 15, plus 48 times 1, then divide by 16 (you're averaging). I'll break down the math for you as an example.

[(6*15)+(48*1)]/16=
[(90+48)]/16=
138/16= ~8.5mg

You can dilute with 2ml too.

[(6*15)+(48*2)]/17=
[(90+96)]/17=
186/17= ~11mg

The higher nic concentrate you use, the less you will dilute your flavor, and PG/VG ratio.

If you get some 100 mg/ml you'd just need to add .4 ml for each 10 ml of juice to bring it up to 10mg/ml.

Checking math:

6mg/ml x 10 ml = 60 mg in 10 ml
0.4 ml x 100 mg/ml = 40 mg

60 mg + 40 mg in 10.4 ml = 9.6 mg/ml

You'd have to measure the small volumes very carefully with the high strength nicotine though. Small errors in volume would lead to large errors in nic concentration.
