At $40, the MVP2 was a steal. I'm VERY happy with it, and it was a brilliant upgrade from my ego twists. The ONE thing bothering the heck out of me though, is the poor thread connector part. I assumed mine was just defective or got damaged from a drop or in the mail, but I've read of MANY people having issues, so I guess it is a design flaw.

Anyway, often times I have to pull the center pin up with a flathead screwdriver in order for it to read my iclears and evods. This is especially the case after using my carto tanks, I suppose they push the center pin down just a tad, causing the iclear30 and the evods to not be detected.

Anyway, has anyone used any sort of adapter or connector to fix this issue? I'm thinking about buying a 510 to 510 adapter, and perhaps a 510 to ego adapter, just so I can screw on all my devices to the adapters instead of directly the MVP, hopefully that might fix the issue.

Anyone else having these issues?

I had an eVod that refused to connect to my MVP no matter what. It was simply a problem with the connector threading on the evod bottoming out on the ego threads prior to making the head connect.

Try some other heads and perhaps retire that evod, or if you can't retire the tank, pull down the metal cap on the bottom of the head a smige.

I always try to adjust the tank instead of the battery. I would only adjust the battery if all else failed.

The aspires are really bad for making connection to the MVP2, not sure if it is the aspires or the MVP2 that are the problem, more leading to the aspires, as I did have a 510 to ego adapter which solved the problem till I got a new set of coils for the aspires, then had the problem even with the adapter, I took the adapter off and raised the post on the MVP2 a bit and now had no more problems for now.
