May be to simple of a coil for most but works for me: I get great flavor and good dense vapor with simple 1.5 ohm micro-coil - 28 gauge kanthal - 12 wraps 5/64th drill bit with peaches and cream cotton rope (walmart) wicking. vape 8 watts on my MVP 2.

I have fasttech Magma and is one of my favorites along with the Omega.

Twist up some of that 28 ga and do a build on a 1/16 mandrel 8 wraps and you'll get around a .5 ohm build. Get the coils close (as close as you can without touching the deck) to the air holes and you will get incredible flavor out of that Magma.

Single coil eh? Little bit torn on single vs dual in this RDA, not sure I like the draw of 1 air hole..

OK to use air holes like it was a dual coil - it is what I do for lung hits.

You might also like the sleeper coil - dual coil using single strand of wire - Rip Trippers does it as well as others on youtube. On the occasion that I do dual coils, I prefer the sleeper coil.

I've been thinking of getting an Infinite Magma. I also hear people saying to get the coils as close as possible to the air holes. I prefer simple micro coils as well. I put a twisted 26g 5/64 coil on last night and I was getting far less flavor than my 8 wrap 26g micro coil. Vapor density was excellent, but flavor was not there.

with this dripper I've found that it needs to produce vapor fairly quickly in order to get a dense, flavorful vape

I had dual tiger coils with 26 gauge and .8 x .1 ribbon but it was taking too long to heat up at 30w. I switched to 28 gauge with .8 x .1 and the same thing occurred. last night I ripped of the coils out and went strictly single coil at 1.0Ω and it was way better. Like, probably 5 times better at least

you can really do any build you want, but when doing dual coil, make sure you can give the atomizer enough power to heat up both coils pretty quick, otherwise your vape won't be very dense and flavorful

Has anyone been able to get dual vertical hollow (chimney) coils to work on a Magma? I've been wanting a Magma so I could try it myself, but haven't got one yet. VH(C) coils are all I use on my R91 and other KFL type atomizers. The Magma looks similar having the air flow coming from the bottom.

your leads would look a little weird just due to the post design...

but I would recommend an origen v2 if you're after those. the single post + negative screws are made for verticals on that one

I believe the air comes into the chamber through the side of the top cap (like a genesis) on the Origen V2. On the type coil I speak of the air travels through the center with the wicking material on the outside.
