Titanium, really???

Pretty sure the stock wicks are and will always be silica.

I haven't tried the Kangers but a lot of people like those over the Vivi Nova so it might be worth a shot. Another possibility would be a cartomizer. How long have you been vaping? Also, what kind of device are you using?(Not that it would matter in this case, curious)

Edit.. Are your wicks long or short? Are you tipping it occasionally? Try puffing on it without firing to help wick the juice up too.

Ive had VIVi novas and stardust types and both with turn your juice dark if you are getting dry hits. What happens is that if your wicks run dry the juice will cook and darken. Is your juice also getting stronger in TH? THe juice when it gets cooked will darken as the soot builds up on your coils. THe wicks and coils on both the VN and stardust types must stay wet or they will burn and cook your juice. I ended up using the Vivi less and less and went back to using a good ol boge in a tank. I put the stardust/ kanger type in a drawer and stopped using it after a week or so. THe Vivi is a great atomizer but has some handicaps and fiddling around to get it to work at its best. When it works it works great. I tried cotton and it tasted OK, but found a good silica tasted the best. You might try making one with a nice thicker silica or Ive heard that cotton gauze or bamboo thread is the best. Look around there are a lot of good how to videos on rebuilding the wicks, just make sure to either twist resistance and non-resistance wire or using the twisted legs method so that your wire doest burn on the end of the head where the little white rubber grommet is.

PS, if you do get into doing your own wicks, make sure you get a multimeter to avoid shorts and ruining your battery. It sounds scary and it does happen but easily avoided with a multimeter.

I'm stock. Using a freshly filled Boge right now and it's more how I want it, but not for long from what I've read:facepalm:. I'll have to try the cotton rebuild. Is it normal for the liquid to go darker in the Nova?

If you are using a standard vivi-nova with the clear tank a darker liquid is just the nicotine oxidizing. You should notice this if your e-liquid has been steeping for a while as well.

If any VVN fanboy still insists the VVN is easy to use and convenient for vaping, I will refer them to this post.

My nova is actually working really good. I've gone through sooo many stardust type clearos and so damn many of them are compleat junk. I've had luck with a few, but most just piss me off. I thought I wouldn't like the nova either after seeing so many bad reviews about them, but it become one of my favorite. It doesn't leak, wicks really well, tastes good, gives a good throat hit... all of the things most of the clearos I tried couldn't do.

Not sure why some people have no issues, but other have a grip of issues. I guess some of it comes down to juice... you just can't expect any VG juice to work good on a wicking style clearo or tank. Far to thick to keep the wicks and coil wet. I've been using 70/30 or 80/20 PG/VG mixes are everything across the board works better than the 100 percent VG I started with.

Another factor might just be fake generic non-vision vivi novas people are getting. So many copy cats in the world of clearos, tanks, and cartimizers. I've seen sites that state "real vision nova, or real vision CE4 clearos", but they are just some off brand copy of the real thing. A buddie of mine brought over a nova he got online that said vision vivi nova, but his tasted like poop and didn't wick well at all. The wicks on his were even thicker than mine, but didn't work as good. I picked mine up at gotvapes.com.

I guess another issue could just be quality control accross the board... maybe half the novas are pushed out with unknown issues that aren't tested for, so everyone has a 50/50 chance of getting a good or bad one. I've only picked up two so far, so maybe I just got lucky and got 2 of the good ones.

I'm with you Gummy Bare. I have been using my mini novas for a month and a half now. They work great for me at 70/30, and my wife at 100pg. Still haven't popped any heads, haven't even cleaned mine in a week. Juice still looks great. Just cleaned the one my wife uses yesterday after a couple weeks of use. It was just starting to color the liquid.

The only real issue I have had is one leaked a bit after dropping it. The bottom piece separated a bit and caused the tank tube to be at an angle. It would press against the wick on one side and oddly enough this caused it to flood and leak through the center at the battery.

I used a couple sockets and a vise to press it back together, worked fine until i dropped it again yesterday. Oh well, back to the vise.

I think it really comes down to pg/vg and juice thickness with the novas. Probably clearos in general. The thinner and lighter the juice, the better they work.

Not sure if this is accurate, the Kangers don't make the liquid brownish and they hold the same amount of liquid, there might be the VVN wicks that is causing this issue which is typical on the VVN.

The only reason I stopped using my first two T3 coils was because after I had been using them for about a month they were turning my juice dark. I had to throw out the last ½ ml of each tank and start over. Since they only cost three bucks each, I guess I can afford to buy one a month.
