If someone has a legitimate complaint, post it, we all chip in and try to resolve it for them. We let them know how to contact the company, we contact the company for them! We want a happy resolution to this. We want happy customers, we want people off of cigs. however that comes, even if it means going to another vendor.
I only stepped into this when people were whining about the freebies they were getting. That isn't a legitimate complaint to me! The rest was just my biased opinion that you got for free.

I'm only irritated because I said something like "OMGawd...will you guys be nice" and offered cookies. And that got deleted. But anyways, I think this thread has gotten blown way out of porportion. I don't see why people add fuel to the flame, especially when early on in the post, Mark said he'd look into it and I'm sure it will be taken care of.

I believe the OP was something to do with being displeased with v4l ? If the v4l team is offended easily by that then maybe they should not read the thread . to those that are not happy with the mods decision should take it up with that mod and quit back talking his decision on the forum . this thread has gotten out of control due to the v4l fans not liking people complaining about v4l IMO . this thread would have probably disappeared by now if not for that .

Do you guys not understand where the op is coming from?
No where on the ultimate kit does it say you have to specify that you want single logo batteries.
The picture shows a single logo battery...
He did not get the item that was advertised.
I know I would be ...... if i got multi-logo batteries...

It does say you have to specify in a comment what flavor cartos and what strength, but nothing about logos.

The lack of having pull downs for all options is one of the reasons i got my starter kit elsewhere.

I got my 2 XL manuals, and my shorty separately just so I could make sure I was getting what I wanted.

Now a note on my shorty:
I ordered a Black old style shorty from the super sale page when they had them for $7.50, "guaranteed not to be DOA". Well it came in DOA.
Smilin quickly took care of me and told me to leave a comment on the next order and he would replace it with a new style one. I said that is great! I was getting an upgrade for the hassle.
When I got my order, my new replacement shorty battery is Green.
I would have preferred black, that is why I ordered black, but green was acceptable to me so I didn't complain.
If it came in Pink or multi-logo I would have been not happy.
I'm just saying V4L shouldn't just send out whatever they want..

The OP was VERY displeased with V4L, I'm not sure what all the issues are but it seems it couldn't be resolved with them and they have chosen not to do buisness with them. I am sorry to hear that. It seems like they had a legitimate complaint and I think everyone was trying to help them.
THEN others jumped on with some legitimate and some not so, complaints.
If you have a complaint can you at least give that company the opportunity to fix it before going completely ballistic? "I sent them a PM an hour ago and haven't heard from them yet!" "I sent an email Saturday night and now it's Sunday and I still haven't heard from them!" both of which end with "This company sucks, they have no customer service and I am never going to do buissness with them again!" threads. I've been on hold longer than an hour with my cable company before.
If you reach no resolution we NEED to hear that. But if you didn't get the "instant gratification" that you need to stroke your ego, or if you didn't get all the freebies you think you "deserved" that is a BS complain fest. I've had vendors loose my packages or they didn't show up.I send an email, wait two days to hear from them and then they get a new one on the way. It's just life. But I don't run to a forum and flame everyone because that company sucks and just screwed everything up!
It just seems to me a lot of people are trying to take advantage of the good nature of Steve and Mark in hopes of getting something for nothing if they complain enough. But that is my biased opinion.

I do agree that the site needs to be a little more... organized? Not sure how to say it, but I think it needs to be a tad more 'user friendly' :).

Just a suggestion!

I agree, and have hired a professional to write an additinional program to provide this, since volusion does not offer what we need. Hopefully, this weekend it will be up.:p

On another note, we send cards with out teleophone # so if there is a problem, talk to us. Call me old fashion, but, I get over 1000 emails a day, and have to go thru the BS, and get tired of reading. I like talking to my customers, and treating them, the way I LIKE TO BE TREATED.:D

OUR NEW OFFICE NUMBER IS 224-723-5339. If you have a problem, we will resolve it, better than ANYBODY else.

Thank You family

i've seen a few cases of this, too, saw.

having said that, there have been definite issues with order packaging recently. i think this has a lot to do with the rapid growth the company is experiencing. it's annoying to not get what you ordered, or to get something that doesn't work, or that breaks quickly. but V4L does bend over backwards--even in cases where they are not in the wrong--to make things right.

i've also noticed that some issues have been slow to resolve in recent weeks, and i also think that's attributable to growing pains, as it were. but when customers take the effort to contact them, and give them the benefit of the doubt (which shouldn't be that hard, considering the company's track record) issues have been taken care of.

i hope that the packaging issue gets sorted out sooner rather than later, and i look forward to V4L continuing to improve quality and quality control. i know they will, because steve is passionate about this business and about taking care of his customers--and i'll stay a loyal customer myself, through this transition.

steve i can really see an occasional mess up . my first , second and 3rd order was messed up . I have gotten 3 batteries replaced and the replacements were still messed up . i also had some bad carts replaced with more bad carts . i gave up at that point . crap being replaced with crap is still crap. that is the reason i do not speak nice about v4l .i just do not want to have the carts and batteries replaced again with more crappy carts and batteries . i have moved on but will share that experience in threads like this one .

And I gotta say that this forum is one of several reasons I went with V4L. I like to see a healthy user base. I don't think I've seen any other quite like this. And I've seen no less than 3 folks who are or seem to be representives of the company active here....that's a good thing!

I agree. A company doesn't get this loyal a following without doing something right. I don't hesitate to recommend V4L to anyone.

Yaknow, I apologize, but, you must be one of the very few who have had a bad experience with V4L. It sure would be nice to get a call from you, cause, I certainly do know how to treat people right. :p

Thank You

let me know how that works out for you. although i can assure it wont.

good riddance.

i can assure NO other company will even attempt to help you like v4l will.

It's sad that customers have gotten so spoiled that they demand everything right everytime with no consideration to mistakes happening.

The worst (and best) thing to happen to retail businesses is "The Customer is Always Right". It's a good attitude to have as the business, but very bad for the customer to think that's always the case.

That's just ridiculous... You make yourself look stupid when you complain like a spoiled 8 year old on the forums of a business that is AWESOME in customer service. If something is off, it is up to YOU to tell the company. With so many orders, the only way for them to know would be to be psychic.

I love V4L! <3
