Has Alt-Smoke sold out to CHINA ?



I am forced to post here due to Being a long time reader first time poster.


First off I love the ECF community and am ever thankful to world of vaping!
I am a big supporter of USA made products and want to buy another mod that is NOT made in china!


The problem I am having is the beloved SILVER BULLET I believe it is currently made in CHINA
under the falsely lead assumption that it is Made in the USA.

No where on their site does it state the origin of manufacture on these Mods?

In fact I can find only 1 hardware product that states that it is Made in the USA

I believe the SB is still a very nice product, but if its being mass produced through china then you are getting ripped off!

Try $20 shipped instead of $80!!

For example: I have purchased several of these flashlights for less then $30 and they are as well built and more complex then the Silver Bullet and they Come with 2 18650's and CHARGER!!!

As for the SB the connector, switch and battery are all ready Made in China...

All we are left with is hopefully an Aluminum battery housing that is Made in the USA..

Considering that personal vaporizers were invented in China and all the atomizers and cartomizers come from China, I really don't see your point regardless of where the SB is made.

Note: I too would like most of the products we buy in the country made in this country. But that is not reality and probably never will be as the world continues to get smaller.

Spend some time reading the AltSmoke forum. It was just a few months ago they. Bought a bigger more expensive leath (sp?). Why would they buy expensive manufacturing equipment to then have their products made in China?

Welcome to ECF! You said you might get banned, well I hope not, I love how everyone has different opinions on products and even if I don't agree, doesn't mean you should be banned.
Silver Bullet was my first PV, do I believe it was made here in the US? YES. If it came to light that it wasn't? I wouldn't be broken up at all. It's a very well made device that will probably last me forever. If this is being mass produced by the Chinese, then wow, their QC must be amazing! You will have a hard time finding any issues with this product.

I think the whole idea of his post is this: Part of the appeal was buying something USA-made from a company who wanted to put quality devices in the hands of vapers. If they have since started having these made in China for relative pennies, and are still charging the same price per unit, they have "sold out" and are just concerned with profit. It's not a gripe about the product itself, but about the motivations of the company, kind of a bait-and-switch.

I have no clue if altsmoke has done this. I do not own an SB, or any of their other mods. Just stating what I think the OP was saying.

I can understand wanting to buy USA products, but 90% of all vaping equipment is made in china, and suppliers mark them up big time.

I know it's frustrating today but it's too late to just complain, we ALL need to be in the streets with pitch forks marching. Americans should have Occupied Wall Street 40 years ago but because we LOVE STUFF and lots of STUFF, we are also part of this problem of overseas manufacturing.

99.9% of American's STUFF is made overseas. Just look around your home, do an inventory and you will see 99.9% of your stuff was NOT made in the USA. I'm from the generation if you bought "stuff" marked "Made In China" or "Made In Japan", it was considered unpatriotic and Americans would remain loyal to USA Made. Slowly but surely, Corporate GREED condoned by both ELECTED government parties led us to the slaughter and we followed. This is the reason 99.9% of our STUFF is NOT made in USA. Until manufacturing jobs return to the USA, we will remain jobless heading toward becoming a Third World Country.

Rather than raging on AltSmoke why not dial their number and ask if it's so important to you? I've bought three stellar mods from them over the last 8 months and gotten excellent, honest service. They'd prolly tell ya where the SB is made. Seems there's an ulterior motive screaming though your bold and CAPPED words.

The mean spirit of your post along with links to buy others makes me suspicious, especially with it being your first post. This is a unique forum of people helping people as they transition to ecigs. This is uncalled for from a noob's first post.
