Not much difference

Guys. I have recently been using my mech. The ohms you use makes a huge difference, obviously. Then I used 2 mutation x v4 drippers on my treebox regulated device. One had a build of .3 the other 1.4. I thought that I would be able to use less watts on the high ohm but it tasted weak. I used them both at 45 watts with the same juice. I could not tell a difference. The ramp up time would only have a marginal difference and so wouldn't be noticeable. Can somebody explain to this noob what is happening. Do ohms make no difference apart from amperage in regulated devices? Thanx

What you are observing is correct. Resistance makes no difference on a regulated device as long as that device will fire that resistance to the power level you want.

If i build a contact coil with 30 gauge wire in parallel that is 3mm ID x 6mm width and another contact coil using 26 gauge wire with the same ID and width. Then fire both of them at 40W, even though the resistance will be different, the only perceptible difference will be ramp up time. (26g will come up to temp slower because of increased mass)

yeah just remembered. 90/10 DIY strawberry & cream both compressed with 26 & 24 guage wire. .3 was like dual 6 wraps at 24. The 1.4 was like 20 wraps! at the 26. Just wanted to get rid of the wire. It all got tangled. Don't want it nemore. Both at 3mm
