I ordered a starter kit from innovapor which contained 2 ecigs, 1 charger with AC adapter, 2 batteries and a bunch of juice.

This was for me and my husband. Well, I placed the order on the 6th, received it on 10th. So, that was ok.

It came with no instructions, no carrying case, which was a bit annoying, but ok. We "charged" both batteries on the charger, and we couldn't figure out which color the light was supposed to be. Half the time it was red, half the time it was green and then it would blink red and green. Meanwhile we have no idea what this means.

We leave both batteries on the charger for 4 hours a piece and one battery charges up and the other doesn't. So, we have a bad battery I guess. I email them and call them and leave a message on the answering machine over the weekend.

I got an email reply today to send back the bad battery and "when they inspect it they will ship out a new one as soon as they can."

What a hassle! Now I have to pack it up, drive it to the post office and ship it, using my time, money and gas, and wait for a replacement. UGH!!!!!!! In the meantime we only have one battery! I was going to buy a bunch of additional batteries and another charger, but now I want to buy my hardware somewhere else.

We have the Joye510's so can someone tell me where to buy more batteries and another charger that is compatible with the ecigs we already have?

Thanks for the help!

I've found the folks at Innovapor to be responsive and helpful. I've also been lucky that I've not yet received any defective hardware from any vendor... ;)

I don't like posting in one vendor's sub-forum promoting another vendor, but if you wanted to go with another vendor for another battery and/or charger you can click the 'link to...' link under each vendor's sub-forum on the main ECF page to go their online store. (there are of course other vendors who do not presently have sub-forums here, I've been satisfied with cignot and vtvapor, but have mostly dealt with Innovapor for my hardware so far)

You don't say which ecig you purchased - the Joye510, the Intellicig EVOlution, or the M401/402. Any 510 battery should be interchangeable with another 510, and any charger that works with 510 batteries should work with all of them. (Exception: if you get the longer 'mega' battery a few vendors sell then it will not fit inside the PCC charging case) The EVOlution is, AFAIK, fully intercompatible with the M401/402 hardware. I only know of Innovapor and Cignot handling Intellicig currently from the US, intellicig themselves have a US web site but distribution is from UK. But you should be able to find batteries, attys, and chargers for M401/M402 at a broad selection of vendors, if you really want to avoid Innovapor.

I'd recommend 4 batteries and 4-5 atomizers for two smokers - you'll definitely be thankful for the spares when an atomizer dies, as they all eventually do, and that way you have a battery on charge while vaping with another. I'd also highly recommend a USB passthrough, IF you spend significant amounts of time near a USB port. (computer OR cigarette-lighter-adapter in a car, if you drive a lot) If you spend a great deal of time out and about where you have NO access to charging ability, plan accordingly, like 2-3 batteries to make sure you're not left 'stranded'. (take additional fluid and/or catridges in such a case as well - I take a total of two attys, three batteries, and two bottles of fluid with me on all outings)

I've noticed that all the 510 chargers I've seen start with one color when they are charging (usually red), then blink occasionally to the 'charged' color (blue or green on mine) while charging. Some of them then transition to a weird in-between state where both colors are lit (my single-piece USB charger from Innovapor does this - red plus blue makes purple) and eventually change to the charged (blue or green, usually) color while occasionally flickering to charging. (red) This is the best time to pull it off the charger.

Also, some of the chargers don't seem to work quite right if you pull out one battery and slot in another - but if you unplug the charger, then swap in the second batt, then plug it back in, it usually works fine.

IMHO you made a good choice both trying ECigs and ordering from Innovapor.

Make the most of the wealth of information searchable on these forums.
