Not sure about this

I got a Halo G6 last Friday after reading good reviews. I also picked up two bottles of eliquid (name brand?).

A few things I've noticed and not been a fan of...

My mouth and throat get really dry after taking puffs. Like the vapor is sucking all the moisture from my mouth. Is this normal?

I haven't had the urge to cut analogs out. I vape when I feel like it, but still smoke about every 2 hours.

When I do vape, it doesn't seem to ever satisfy me. Like I could probably just vape every minute all day long. Shouldn't my receptors be sending signals that I received the nicotine and I am good?

I have however liked the TH and battery life thus far.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just the learning curve?

Vaping does dry your mouth out, but you may also need to tweak your mod settings as well or try a different atomizer or a cardo

On a side note, I find the act of "vaping" to be very calming and soothing, which has become a new obsession to just puff on it all day. Not sure how good that is for me lol

A few weeks ago when I started vaping again I noticed the same things and yes it's normal give it a few days and your body will adjust. I also went thru some stomach issues at first which lasted a few days. But once I found a nic level that cut the urge to smoke analogs and I found a flavor I enjoyed my body adjusted and all has gone very well. Keep up the awesome work and the people around here are one heck of a support group when needed:)

When vaping, you need to drink lots of water. That will counteract the dryness.

What strength ejuice are you using? New vapers usually need to start with a higher nicotine content. (I started out at 24mg.)

What retired1 said. Water, water, water. Vaping dehydrates you. Recommended daily water intake in ounces is your body weight divided by 2. For example - if you weigh 150lbs, drink 75oz of water.

I started out with 18mg nicotine and had to increase to 24mg for a while. After 2 weeks of not smoking I've been able to step back down to 18 with no noticeable effect.

As for still wanting to smoke, I found that the urge went away for me when I found a couple of AWESOME flavors. Just hunt around a bit, find the flavors that are perfect for you, and that will make things a lot easier.

It sounds as though I need to get the 24mg. I told them I smoke a pack-pack and half a day and they gave me 16mg.

As for flavors I went with tobbacoish flavors. Do you guys prefer something that mimics what you are replacing or are you choosing sweet flavors?

Another question do you prefill your carts? I loaded all 5 up but by the time I got to using the 3rd one it was dryish. Does this mean I should wait until I am ready to use it to fill it?

I started off with a few tobacco flavors and then I found fruits, caramels and joy of joys, vanilla custard! I can't get enough of it. If I could, I'd vape vanilla custard at night in my sleep.

Definitely try something at 24mg. You may find it helps stop the cravings and any you do get you can vape right through them.

Hello,
Haven't smoked a cigarette since receiving clear tank and battery, all that was needed to begin with.

Learning to use the calculator e-Juice Me Up and hope I'm doing the entries correctly.

24mg/ml was too strong for me had a coughing fit right in the vape lounge. Began with 1.8 went to 1.1 then 0.6.

Made 8ml at 4.2 and going back to 0.6

Had 'issues' with PG ... and the calculator helped me to up the VG.

Hope I'm doing things correctly w/the calculator....

Did anyone experience 'itching' or burning with vaping?

Weathering through 'learning experiences'

I have been pleased with supplies ordered from wizard labs.

Good vaping to all,
gladheart

Like everyone else has said...water...and more water.

I do recommend higher nic. I was a very heavy smoker and started at 24mg. It took me 6 months to ween down to 12mg. After a year, I'm content at 9mg...but I needed higher nic to start. Also, vaping is a slower method to deliver nicotine. When I started I found that I needed 45 minutes of vaping first thing in the morning to get over the cravings, where 1 or 2 cigs used to do the job. So, IMHO, vaping is more of a continuous process of nicotine delivery verses the many highs a lows experienced in a day of smoking cigarettes.

I never had problems filling several cartos at a time. Covering them back up with the condoms and they stayed good for at least a week. If you have the G6, try the mini tank (also know as the T4 available other places cheaper). These will give you more vapor...so perhaps a bigger more satisfying hit.

I think we all start with tobacco flavors, I know I did. Then I tried some coffee flavors and from that point on never went back to tobacco. I had dry mouth smoking cigarettes so that wasn't a problem for me.

I did start out with 24mg and now I'm down to 18 mg and no problems going down. I smoked my entire life so I don't plan on dropping the 18mg for some time. What I do know is the flavors make quit smoking so much easier. Good luck.

I vaped tobacco flavors for 4 months and couldn't quit smoking. I switched to fruit, bakery, and candy flavors and quit within a week. Haven't had a cigarette in 15 days. So that worked for me, but might not work the same for others. Wouldn't hurt to try, though.

I highly second that motion. I started with ejoy, eblu, fling and some various flavors. Can't say I was huge fan of any of them but I did cut back from 1.25 packs a day to 0.25 packs a day using disposables. I then bought the blu starter kit...but it wasn't really until I started refilling the cartomizers with juice bought online. I can't say your going to have the same ahh-haa moment that I had but when trying a vanilla/caramel flavor I thought this doesn't taste half bad. That's when I realized that maybe I was trying to hard to find that "perfect" tobacco flavor that tasted the same as my brand.

Once you realize that it doesn't have to taste just like your old brand or like tobacco, I think your subconscious lets up a little and there is less desire to have a real cig. I still do keep a pack of analogs on me which I probably shouldn't. I need to update my footer but I did have 3 while drinking with a friend last weekend. If I wasn't drinking or with my friend I probably wouldn't have felt the strong urge...so social settings and different situations that you put yourself in can trigger your mind into old habits...it's why the don't recommend recovering alcoholics to hang out in a bar with their friends and drink NA beer.

You may also benefit from using WTA liquid. It's liquid that contains tobacco alkaloids that are missing in standard juices. When you quit smoking you not only go through nicotine withdraw, but also the four to five thousand chemicals included and created through smoking. I know I was one of those who couldn't quit vaping just regular juice. I switched to juices containing WTA and made the quit without much of a problem. Aroma Ejuice carries a pretty full line of WTA juices. You can find their forum under the suppliers forum on this site or google and check out their website for more info.

Oh, and I'd up the nicotine content as well. I was a pack and a half and started with 24mg. Good luck!

Not sure what disposables are probably 18-24 but my first sampler ejuice was at 30mg and I was a 1.25 pack a day smoker. I think that was too high though. Try going to 10 Pack 3ml E Juice Sample Pack! I'm sure others can recommend other places that do the same but they have 10x3ml samples for $25 and you get a 15ml on first purchase for free. I recommend finding a site that you can get 3ml samples as some of the flavors just didn't agree with me. You can buy the 60ml for much cheaper per ml but if you end up hating it and throwing it out...that doesn't save you much money does it :)

Try various flavors until you find one you like and then reorder in bigger bottle for cheaper. Also at the site above you can put comments in the section to say this flavor I want at 30mg nic this flavor I want at 15mg, this flavor I want at 10mg nic etc. I recommend that so can experiment with not only flavors but nic you need to get past the humps.

As for refilling carts I found that you don't want overfill them as they leak all over but you do want to refill them before they get to dry. If it gets to dry it will start to burn the filler and you get a bad taste in them. I only refilled each one about 5 times before I upgraded to the ego-c. Hard part is mixing of the flavors say your using an old menthol cart and you refill with a vanilla/caramal flavor. There is going to a hint of menthol left even after the 3rd/4th refill.

Also for the dryness of your cart...that little rubber thing that it initially came with put that back on and put that on bottom and leave the part where you suck out of up high to keep the flavor in the cart. I noticed my blu would leak stuff out of refilled carts unless I put that little rubber back on it.

Also if any of you have other places that you know you can 3ml bottles in varying flavors and nicotine please let me know. I'd like to try out a few vendors where I can pick and choose that stuff but still get 3ml in case I hate the flavor I won't feel bad about tossing it.

I was a very light/social smoker towards the end when I picked up vaping, and even at one or two cigs a night I found myself using 24mg and then 30mg once I got into DIY (almost immediately) before I really killed the cravings. Three months later and I'm using 6-12 comfortably, and 12 is a bit high sometimes.

As others have said, more water is the cure for dry mouth/vaper's tongue. I regularly put down about a gallon or more in a day without thinking about it, plus decaffeinated tea and the occasional soda, and I've had no further issues. The PG/VG content sometimes dries you out more or less, I forget which way it goes and honestly everyone's different, but give both sides a try. I'm using 60/40 PG/VG right now and rarely if ever get dried out, even chain vaping at night.

When it comes to flavors, I started on cloves because that's what I smoked for the most part, the tobaccos I've tried generally leave something to be desired, the only one I really like at all is Desert Joe from Smokeless Image..probably cause I did Camel Wides in college for a bit..but dessert/fruit flavors are my go-to now, maybe menthol once in a blue moon if I want to change it up.

loooooooooots of water.

I vaped for 2 days before I quit analogs. I did cut down on them during those 2 days because I was spending so much time vaping I didn't have time to smoke, but I still wanted the analogs.

I finished the pack of analogs and decided to just not buy a new one. It was a little weird for a few days. I still had to make a concious decision to not smoke but I was OK physically. Really totally fine. No mad woman! I wasn't freaking out or panicing like I had during previous quit attempts.

For about a week I didn't really want a cigarette, but still had to put the habitual aspect of it aside.

Now over 2 weeks later...I still vape nonstop but nooooooo problems.

I guess what I'm trying to say is you still have to use a little will power to stop something you've been so habitual about, but it really isn't that bad at all and one you give it a shot and realize how OK you are it just gets easier and you feel better and so motivated.

After 20 years of smoking my husband and I were both able to just STOP.

This is different for different people, but I actually found that the dessert and fruity flavors made it easier to stop for me... opposed to getting something that tasted kinda like a marlboro.

Also, it's 100% normal to want to vape nonstop at first.

The best part for me is not having to constantly stop and get smokes and worry about not having enough!! Liberating!
