I just received a new Provari Starter Kit V2; a 510 Atomizer; two 18650 batteries; a 18650 extension, and two 5 pack 510 cartomizers. I have read the manual many, many times, watched youtube videos, and the parts are not easily identifiable to me on properly assembling. After putting in the battery of choice, do I just screw in one of the "atomized cartridges" and start vaping, or am I supposed to put on something else? All of the pictures I've seen so far just look like there is one of the atomized cartridges screwed in. Please help. Thanks.

You need to make sure the cartomizers are properly filled. That's #1 important.
Once you install the battery, set the voltage to about 3.5V. Just as a starting point.
Screw the cartomizer (atomized cartridge) into the head. Push the button and vape.
Increase the voltage, step by step, until it tastes and feels right for you.

You may, or may not have a drip tip. A drip tip is a mouthpiece that fits in the end of the cartomizer to replace the little rubber plug that's in there. It make it easier to top off your cartomizer and is more comfy than the bare tube.

If you haven't already, watch youtube vids about how to fill a cartomizer properly. This is crucial and can't be stressed enough. Also, be sure to drip more juice into the cartomizer at the first sign of the vapor becoming thinner and weaker. Don't let a cartomizer go dry enough to burn. Once burned, the cartomizer is ruined.

Be prepared to burn a few cartomizers while you're learning. Once you do that a couple times, you won't do it again.

Atomized cartridge is another name for cartomizers.

The atomizers do not have any ability to hold juice - you need to drip juice directly onto them or use a different type of cartridge to feed them juice (not recommended).

Cartomizers hold the juice in a filler material that you have to get soaked with juice, and then you can vape for sometime on that juice. Regular sized cartomizers take ~1 ml of juice = ~20 drops. There are several methods to fill them: either drip the juice patiently onto the filler, wait to get absorbed, an then drip some more and repeat until the top is really slushy and can take no more without flooding. Another is the "condom method", if you search YouTube for that you will find tutorials. Finally you can use a syringe to inject the juice between the filler and the outer casing of the cartomizer. Ask if you need more help with that.

Most likely the cartomizers do not have juice in them and you need to fill them first.

Look here to see a variety of cartomizers: Cartomizers

And here to see a variety of atomizers: Atomizers

Welcome to the forum rgrswife! First make sure your batteries are properly charged. When they are, place one in your battery compartment and screw on your extension. Now, on the other end you need to attach one of your cartomizers. Does it come prefilled with juice? If so, you are ready to vape! If not, you need to fill it with juice, I hope you got a bottle? Please see youtube vids on filling your 510 cartomizer. I once got a box that said "atomized cartridges" on it and it was really just regular cartridges. If you want to use your 510 atomizer with a regular cartridge then screw on the atomizer to the provari battery first then insert a filled cartridge onto the atomizer and vape away. Hope that helps, if not, more opinions will be forthcoming.

Hi Rgrswife, Welcome to the ECF. Do you have any e-liquid to fill the cartomizers with? Do you know how to fill a cartomizer(atomized cartridge)? Once you have the battery in the provari you will want to make sure you know how to turn the unit on. Once the unit is on you will want set your voltage(always safer to start nearer to the lower end of the scale) say around 3.5v. Then once this is done you will want to take a cartomizer that has been filled with approxamately 1ml of liquid(if its a standard size carto) and screw it in to the top of the unit. Test fire. Proceed to vape to your hearts content. Once you get it this far you will eventually begin to get comfortable enough to adjust your voltage for your specific tastes. Make sure you keep your carto wet looking. Drip a few drops on the white filler inside the cartomizer when the vapor starts to feel thin or the taste begins to thin out. This is easier with the addition of a driptip to replace the little white rubber mouthpiece. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

The atomizer would be used alone, with a drip tip(normally) for testing various eliquids without having to fill a cartomizer. The cartomizers are an atomizer and filler togother in the same housing. The filler actually holds the liquid and supplies it to the internal atomizer to be heated and turned into vapor. The atomized cartridge does not attach to the atomizer.

Thank you for the welcome! the box just says 510D Black Atomized Cartridges. How do I know if they have juice in them? The manual said the "started kit" would come with everything I need to get started. My neighbor is the expert, makes his own juices, etc., but he is out of town for a few more days and I'm getting impatient. lol.

NO.

The cartomizer = atomized cartridge and does not need an additional atomizer. You screw it on the ProVari and that is it. If this is the kit from ProVape, then it does not have liquid in it. You need to fill it with your own liquid.

Thank you. My neighbor has been using the Provari since Dec. and he says it's the Cadillac of electronic cigarettes. I ordered pre-filled cartridges and they all have a rubber pointed tip in them under the end caps, so I'm assuming that is to prevent juice from leaking out. So, do I have to put an atomizer on before I screw on the cartridge?

This is what the kit should contain.
• 1 - ProVari Variable Voltage Electronic Vaporizer with a 510 connection, in a satin silver finish
• 2 - 18490 AW high drain batteries
• 1 - Battery Charger - Charges two batteries at a time
• 1 - 5 pack of 3ohm cartomizers
• 1 - Metal drip tip for use with the cartomizers.

I dont't see a kit that has both atomizers and cartomizers, though... that is unless you added atomizers yourself.

Yep, it's from ProVape, but I thought it said they were filled and the "starter kit" said everything was in there to get started. I have some juice that I bought from another site, but not sure how to fill the cartridge. Should I just add a few drops and see if it works then? I don't want to burn anything out. Thank you for your patience.

No.

You need to take off the rubber condoms. You need to take off the rubber mouthpiece (with a hole in it). Then you need to fill them with juice by one of the methods I mentioned in my first post. Then you can vape.
