Nice tunes! That Buddy Guy was some nice stuff. I haven't been posting much music because I've been stuck in a different realm, musically speaking. I've been reminiscing to songs from my school days. The mood is starting to mellow back out though . . . same era though.
Anyone familiar with Koko Taylor? I got to see her a number of years ago in a small club. Glad I did too, as the "Queen of the Blues" passed away in 2009. This is her take on an old Etta James song, and she does a fantastic job of it!
I love Koko! She was great. Doing what she did up 'til her last days on Earth! Whenever I mention her, my wife always says "makin' love to a crocodile" because I introduced Koko to her with this song.
Freaky it's funny your wife says that when you mention Koko! First time I met Kev (hubby) I picked him up from the airport. We had known each other for about a year thru the internet but this was the first time we had met face to face. We got in my car and the cd player started with NIN "Closer"!! Totally not planned, but after a few awkward seconds we both busted out laughing
Oh, that's too funny! That song will never be the same now . . . "I wanna da da like a crocodile". Wait until that comes on the radio again . . . my wife is going to love the new lyrics!
Coleman and Anderson's performance saluted 50 years of human
spaceflight and the anniversary of the first launch of a human to
space. Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin completed that milestone on April 12,
1961.
