Great stuff NoM, I saw them at Day on the Green (big concert series in Oakland). I had a ticket to The Last Waltz. It was on Thanksgiving and my Mom giulted me into staying with the family because it could be grandma's last. She lived another 15 yrs and The Band disbanded after that. Go figure

Rat, that is one of the worst stories I have ever heard! I never did get to see them play, but I met Danko outside of his house near Woodstock a bunch of years ago. He was pretty crispy by then.

Oh, it was Richie Valenz who was on the plane with Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper.
