Queen.... now there was a group I just never could warm up to. Other than "We are the Champions", which was AWESOME during the Islanders Stanely cup run back in the 80's...

Sort of like Zeplin for me. Wildly popular, just never did get into them much. Really can't explain why either. :shrug?: I have what I think is a pretty eclectic taste for music too. Just about anything other than hip hop or rap I like. Oh... disco sucked too. Maybe if I could dance...

I would but I'm a terrible E-dancer. I could listen to Queen and Pink Floyd all the time. Freddy Mercury was such a waste of talent. All the good ones go at their own hand it seem like.

Btw, none of those people, nor anyone in Floyd or Queen, died by their own hands... it was either by natural causes, an act of fate or a stupid accident!! (except of course, for Paul... lol)

I usually talk about more than one thing in my posts. Sorry if you have trouble following along.

Yes... all of which were stupid and senseless, and could have been avoided... but not the same as putting a gun to your head... or swallowing a bunch of pills on purpose.

That wasn't my meaning. I guess I should have said as a result of their lyfestyle instead of at their own hand but they both mean pretty much the same to me.

Here is another talented young musician, Kevin Gilbert, who died way before his time (29)... you might not have heard of him, but he pretty much built Sheryl Crow's career... that's her playing keyboards in the background!!



Oh yes, and his was also a stupid 'accident' due to a certain lifestyle choice...

OK going way back ~ 1973. A 15 year old Wharf, just getting his Rock on. Edger Winter, the Who and a heavy dose of Zeppelin.
So my buddy gets two tix to see Tower of Power (our 1st concert). We have no idea what they were about. And we were blown away, like a whole new world.

Saw Edgar Winter and Rick Derringer in Motreal in '74. They did Frankenstein with dueling guitars. Pretty awesome.
