Have you ever wondered what might cause all problems in the world? Well, I have a theory. It's because people take simple things too seriously! Here's an example...

Few years ago I was driving in London (england, UK) and I got stopped by a police. At the time I was driving in a bus lane. So... (not exactly the best case scenario, to be honest). Anyway, the police officer approached me, and (with the official demanding voice) asked "Sir! Are you a Bus?

Without any hesitation, I replied: "So you must be new to traffic?"

You can only imagine what happened next...

More losses in the music world: Actor and noted drummer, vocalist for The Band, Levon Helm passed away from throat cancer. Also Greg Ham 58 played sax, flute and keyboards, with Men At Work died of unkown causes. Plus Ronnie Montrose .

OMG!! I was going to post something about Levon yesterday, but they just said he was "in the final stages of his battle with cancer..." And Ronnie Montrose, too?? I don't know much about Men at Work...

Here is the vid I was going to post... this performance was just last month!!

And the link to an article:
Hidden Track » Levon Helm in Final Stages of Cancer Battle

He played with his own band out here in the late 70's/early 80's, at a club called The Sweetwater Cafe (in Redondo Beach), but I didn't make it down there that night... I found out later that Bob Dylan had come down to see him play!!

I found out that Ronnie Montrose had actually passed away on March 3rd, but the real cause of his death wasn't released until April 6th... what was originally reported as it being due to his battle with cancer, was actually a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

GuitarPlayer: Ronnie Montrose Death Ruled a Suicide

Someone had edited the Wikipedia page with some very personal, and I'm sure painful, text messages that were exchanged between Ronnie and his wife right before he pulled the trigger... which I thought was in extremely poor taste!!

Heaven help me... and I have never edited anything on the Wiki before... but I replaced it with the message from his family that was posted on his website:

A Message from the Montrose Family

By now, the devastating truth of Ronnie’s death is public knowledge. We hope you can understand why we wanted to keep this news a private family matter for as long as possible. We can only hope that you will choose to celebrate Ronnie’s life, and what his music meant to you, rather than mourn his passing. Ronnie would have wanted it that way. He loved being a guitarist, a composer, a producer, and a creator of magic. He fully understood his gifts, and yet he constantly pushed himself to evolve, improve, and make better music. He did this for himself, and he did this for you, because he adored and appreciated his fans. Please keep his energy, his joy, and his love in your hearts.

Please note that there will be no more statements from the Montrose family at this time. We ask that you respect the family's privacy.

I wonder how long it will stay that way...

R.I.P. Ronnie
