More losses in the music world: Actor and noted drummer, vocalist for The Band, Levon Helm passed away from throat cancer. Also Greg Ham 58 played sax, flute and keyboards, with Men At Work died of unkown causes. Plus Ronnie Montrose .

I was just getting ready to put this up MK. I was lucky enough to see the first (I think) Day on the Green in Oakland '73. Jesse Colin Young, Joe Walsh, The Band and CSNY. Without a doubt the BEST non-Dead concert I've ever seen.

I had a ticket to see the Last Waltz, the Band's farewell concert. It was on Thanksgiving and my mom guilted me (Greek mother's have no peers) not to go because it could be grandma's last one. Well it was the Band's last one and grandma had another 22 Thanksgivings.

What we need now is some good lighthearted fun along with some guitar virtuosity sounds like a job for Buckethead ( Brian Caroll

Buckethead outstanding rocker too but Bovinia likes the acoustic stuff and we all know ladies rule

LOL Buckethead just played here in Fresno last month. I'd never heard of him before that.

Gotta love the Bucket. Soothsayer and Nottingham Lace are some of my favorite songs for relaxing while working.

Friday morning I picked up some tickets to see Phish in Atlanta in August with some of my best friends. I started reliving my first Phish show in the car and figured someone might actually have videotaped it. Checked the Youtube and sure enough the whole thing is on there! I was 10 when Jerry died so I never actually got to see the complete Dead(I've seen Phil and Friends, Ratdog, The Other Ones, The Dead), so Phish was sort of my surrogate. Quite a raging show here:

Good stuff DS!!!

If you haven't seen it, rent (or buy as is did) "The closing of Winterland". It was the best show I ever saw, they came out at midnight and played til 6 am. Every show in SF had a banner with a running total of days since the last Dark Star (it was up to 1300-1500 days). They opened the third set with DS and the place erupted.
