I kinda like winter.
I like it too but, i am not dealing with several feet of snow either
Tamarack (Larix laricina)
Other names: Eastern Larch
Burn't apple, pear, fir, ash, maple, oak, and a few more but nothing compares for a nice colorful and crackling fire like Tamarack.

I'm up but so far it's not good....
I see now 5....Closest we have to Tamarack is Southern Yellow Pine...It burns fast and hot but due too the heavy turpentine content cannot be burned where a chimney or flue is used...not unless you plan on an insurance claim...When a Southern Yellow Pine dies the turpentine settles in the stump. That is the source of our kindling....we call it "Fat Lightard"....I've got a big pile of lightard stumps sitting in the yard's edge....
Gotta drive Mom too the dentist at 1....Off too the farm store afterwards...

So have ya'll seen the dog tv channel??? I clicked on the watch it now the other night...Spike turned into Ric Flair on a mission lickity split,,,,No dog tv for Spike

Haven't heard of the dog tv channel, I'll have to check it out. Chase goes nuts barking when he hears a dog bark on tv...or a doorbell.
I used to use the pine lightards when I heated with a wood stove.
I always complain about living in town, but today was the rare exception. Thought I had fresh batts in my APV, about half way to the grocery it pooped the bed. No vape until I got back home to swap the batts

Been really busy here. Just wanted to check in quickly as today is my ONE YEAR Anniversary on stoping the stinkies !!!!!. Hope every one is doing well Boston was still closed yesterday heck 70 in of snow is all it took

I am way out of town, Bov. I learned the hard way to always check my batteries before leaving my house.
Most times, I will change them whether they need it or not just to be safe.LD, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the pine that 5C posted. Not good for a chimney at all in these parts.
