Just a flyby good morning!

@Wharf, the Lemon Menthol is an ongoing evolution. The original was a straightforward mix of FA Lemon SIcily at roughly 8% and one drop of menthol per 10ml. Some days, I add a little drop or two or three of FA Vanilla Classic--turns it into memories of those Lemon Cooler cookies I remember as a kid.

Some days, I decrease the Lemon and add a little FA Lime Tahity. Some other days (most days lately) I drop the Lemon a little and add some Capellas Sweet Strawberry--kinda a Strawberry Lemonade thingy going on. Once in a while, I add a dash of FA Pomegranate which gives it an interesting character and slightly different depth. "Le Pom-A-Berry" is its name-o...

<random thought> Kgj's autocorrect turned my name from Pokey into Pomegranate once a upon a thread ago...

I mix juice like I cook--the end result is often just a shadow of its former self

All said, yesterday and today I've been rockiing a Strawberry Vanilla Custard mix in the KSM--nice! Good to change things up once in a while...my menthol and coffee WIPs (Works in Progress) have been my vaping gotos for...years.

Side note--I bought a mixed pack of Japanese cotton--a little Labo, a little Ko Gen Do, a litte Muji. Just because I am curious like that...and I ended up with an extra $3 in my pocket somehow ;)

OK, y'all--time to get ready for the day! (Past time...way past time, actually)

Fran the Ko Gen Do is supposedly the best...Thinking you gotta peel the outer layers off...A 1.2 coil will be 7/8 wraps of 28 gauge....I've got 28 and 30...Tried some coils the other day with 30 because 30 has more resistence and I was looking less wraps...I blew one dang near off the deck!!! Houston there was a problem!!!! I've got 29 on order should the USPS decide to finally bring it on down here and I think that may be the way to go....but....I haven't given it a go...28 is forgiving though....The tool I posted the other day is gonna require some mods to build a proper coil,,,Namely you either gotta use the mandrel supplied or find wire the correct diameter and bend one up....I haven't had time to slay that dragon either...I'd roll with a Coil Master or Kuro....CM would be my choice there and the Bay can provide....

Good Morning all you guys!

Wow, my sweet little FranC is going to be getting into winding coils! Now this is exciting stuff!

Fran, one thing that's been on my mind about all of this .... do you have one of those little stands that you can screw your coil on and you can check the ohms in your coil as you build it? They don't cost much and sure do make coil winding a lot easier.

Hey Cuzz Wuzz, with the winter our "up north" friends have had I can see why Floorduh is filling up so fast!

Say Pokey, is there any way you could loan me that three dollars in your pocket because I really need to go buy two more Double A batteries for one of my clocks? I can pay you back early next winter (if Sociable Securities gives me another little raise in pay!!)

Trust me!!

Howdy all.
I think everyone here knows me from way back when, but I'd sure be intrigued to see what an intro from TT might look like.
I lost track of y'all when the other thread was closed.
Thank you Salem for telling me where these folks were hiding.
I've missed hearing from you all.

I still neither like nor trust the people who run ECF, so I won't be posting much, if at all.
I hope no one minds if I lurk.

Ko Gen Do and Chaddo's are two of the big names for vapers. I've used Chaddo's and Shiseido (Sephora) and I can't tell the difference. I've never tried Labo but I doubt it's any different. I've used about 20 pads and maybe half the time I toss part of it away in close to a year.

This is what I have and this is a better deal than I got, 165 for $9.50 free shipping.... Nordstrom

Depending on shipping for the Labo, this might be a better deal.

Labo price includes shipping but your link is in US I have only tried a few cottons but, like you, my bet is that there is no difference between them.

Good deal

Wonder if you can find that stuff locally, like at a beauty supply. I've sworn off U.S.P.S. after my latest bout with out of route mail. For several months I've had to go to the P.O. with tracking info about mail being sent somewhere else once or twice a month. The most recent was a couple of weeks ago. 2 out of 4 packages made it to the Orlando distribution center and got sent to another town instead of the one where I live. Just got them yesterday after a couple of trips and about an hour trying to talk to a live person at Consumer Affairs. When I called I got sent around the phone system to 3 people before I got to the right case worker and then got disconnected while she was explaining. Had to call back and go through almost the same dance. They were sent back to the distribution center where they were about to be returned to the vendor instead of being put on the right track. I wish they'd privatize the service or at least the package end. Maybe if they only had junk mail and letters they could get it right. They tell me that would be worse but I've never had a problem with either UPS or Fedex and we averaged about 90 packages a week with them without a problem. I'm not buying anything else from Vendors that don't offer alternates. It usually costs more but at least I can get what I buy in less than 2 weeks.

I talked to a girl in TX last night that has been having major issues with USPS deliveries. She has sworn them off as well.

It's 20 miles to anything here. I love my Amazon Prime.

Me too!

Hey, I just noticed under Pokey's post that kgj signed the "like" thingamabobber!

Hiya kgj!!

Now folks, right there is one real fine fella! I like this guy!

kgj, you'd better do an introduction post ...... or I might have to do it for you. And you KNOW what that could lead to!!

I linked him here but, he may not post. Good just reading and keeping up with us all for now. No pressure :)

I knew that Pokeys lemon menthol was going to be made from Lemon Sicily. It is the best lemon out there IMO

Beautiful weather here today. I hope that everyone enjoys their Sunday.

Fran I had to throw that other post down in a mad rush....Had to do the "Ride of Shame" and drop Mom at church....I was offered to come in and preach a bit....I passed...Told the guy they probably wouldn't wanna hear what I had to say...

Like I said the Coil Master will build a fine coil....It will make things much easier and I will be glad to show my little tricks that I use with it....For kanthal I roll with Temco....Though I've read get it straight from the source and not the Bay.....well....Mine came from the Bay and so far so good...I'd roll with 28...should the 29 offer up better performance I'll let ya'll know...regular old A-1 kanthal....

Coil wise I'd seen some irregularities in mine from time too time...From the drill bit too the Coil Master I saw some slight changes as well....One coil would ohm and perform great while another wouldn't be quiet as good...still good but just not there...I'm now 50 pages deep in the Tensioned Micro Coil thread....Under tension the wraps adhere to each other better and repeatability from coil to coil is easy with the jig....They're using fly fishing reels to hold the kanthal out in front of the jig....the drag system on the reel provides the needed tension....My issue ATM is the mandrels in the kit....close but no cigar...American measurement for the coils I use is 5/64ths....metric is around 2~2.5mm....not sure on that ATM...I have a caliper that measures both but time hasn't allowed further devolopement on the coil winder....Plus I ain't no fly fisherman!!! I gotta get a reel....Cabaleas has one with a V spool and that's the needed one due to the V keeping things lined with the mandrel better...I'll get all that ironed out soon and show the deal and parts sources....I'm hoping it will allow a coil that's quick to make with unmatched performance....

I have about 4 items riding in the USPS truck....Until now the USPS has been my first choice for shipping....Getting political ain't happening but the whole funding retirement for 75 years in advance??? That forced USPS too make cuts....We're feeling the effects now....That pisses me right on off big time....Yeah UPS and that fekking unreliable Fed Ex want the USPS outta the way....little lobby money....little fund the retirement for 75 years in advance....If things don't change it will get worse and soon there will be no USPS..That's my take....I ain't discussing it and if you don't like that....Tough!!!!!

Well now,Dee,that just don't sound too easy.

 Fran, you can get the premade coils dirt cheap at FT or Ebay in any resistance you want. I get bags of 50 from FT for $3 I know several that get them from Ebay and they will make them anyway you like. May be an option for you.

I am NOT talking about it but, I do agree with LD on the USPS thing. Just told my friend the same last night.
