The weirdness continues.....The Goblin and KSM match in pin length....Those factory KSM coils leave much to be desired IMO....Nothing I've screwed on a PV come close to matching the flavor of the good old K Fun....Chinese quality can be described with one word.....disposable...That sheet isn't built for the long haul...So giving the KSM another shot atop the 50 I dug out the box and loaded up the rebuildable deck...I set the tension on kill and wrapped a 8/9 wrap 26 G coil...I then fired it until it had a nice gray color...It was perfectly oxidized and glowing as good as any coil I'd ever seen....Ohmed at almost 1.3 on a very accurate meter...Everything was fine for about 15 minutes...Then RUNAWAY TRAIN!!!!!!!!! Afterwards ohms read over 3.0 and volts showed way over what should match to 12.5 watts....I ran it on the meter and that confirmed ohms had tripled....I pulled it down and dang if a single dog hair hadn't made it's way in there....The hair was bridging the screws....Confirmed by the meter at 1.27....The Pro V said 1.1 and fired it at will at 3.5 volts...Back on the Stick and it was 1.8 with volts still showing way high according too wattage...I cut it off and debated smashing it....I took it apart instead and only blew a small amount of dust from the chip that entered from the charge port...I played with it but made no changes....Now set at 12.5 watts....showing 1.1 ohms and 3.7 volts....That's all good but doubtful it will remain there....The KSM has a coil that could be photographed....It's point blank on time....The wick is correct and fanned over the deck perfectly....they're both working fine....The flavor produced though leaves much to be desired....Two Hell Hammer K Funs are laughing at it....Pretty sure the KSM and Goblin will be in the gift pile later this week along with the Stick 20...as for the 50 it will pull duty oxidizing coils or find itself in the landfill....

LOL, can't agree with you there, LD. I have my original Vamo going strong for years now. DH is still using his original SVD. I have had excellent luck with chinese mods myself. Prices can't be beat so if they did go south, I guess that I could live with it.

Chinese stuff isn't...wasn't and will never be something that meets my standards....I only purchase Chinese stuff for vaping....that's unavoidable....Wherever possible I avoid it like the plague...

On the build of the KSM...I found no issue getting things satisfactory for me....and heck yeah I would beech if I didn't like it....I use a short rod inside the coil to position it...I also bent the legs at a 90* around the screws...I tried the legs straight out and loosened the screws and bent that 90*....It was a tensioned coil from the git and I set it about where the factory had their coil height wise...The rod inside the coil is the same size as the mandrel...One thing about the Kay Fun deck is I can set the coil where I want it center wise and tighten it down...Then I worry about height...It's tight too the deck and then I raise it up....it adds even more tension...I do exactly the same on the KSM only I go lower with the coil...It's working and working fine...I hope the juice will last a little longer as Fran said it would....so far it seems to be less...The coil was well oxidized so I don't really expect much in flavor improvement but.....maybe...Overall it ain't so bad but there ain't gonna be no prizes either...
The Lemo had the best flavor I'd seen from the high air flow bunch....A dang wonky air flow control if there ever was one though...and it's leaking a few drops per tank through the air hole....there is a catch basin to keep it outta you mod but still...The Lemo 2 has the best fill method I've seen and the air control is similar to a KSM....I got high hopes and even higher DEMANDS!!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna give the Lemo Drop a try. I like the size better than the bigger tanks.
Hey, I am all about buying made in USA stuff when possible. When it comes to vape gear, no way would I pay what Provari wants for a PV that is ancient in what it offers when I can get a decent Chinese mod for 1/4 of the price. Now, if I had issues with enough of them, I might consider it. That has just not been the case for me. Good luck finding very much made in the US outside of vape gear these days.
Eleaf is owned by Joyetech and Joye has always had great quality products and reputation. There is a thread with 100s of people that jumped on the i20W train and I saw very little to no complaints there. same with the i30s. I do think that maybe the i50s have a design flaw.

Fran I'd think about the Lemo2...Very similar in size too a Drop...Salem said RMV had 2s for $30....
Dang Salem didn't mean to step on your toes !!!!! As far as the Pro V....I'm down with them till the end...I'm hoping the new IPV will be a good one....
If this Lemo 2 doesn't live up too the hype a KayFun will go under the knife....Just a shade more juice and air.....just a shade...The airflow mod too the pin though....Just don't dig that...The company that charges for the mod cuts the pin length wise through the threads...It's too small to bore out any bigger....So Lemo 2 for the win
The KSM starts making contact with the 50 with enough space left to slide a quarter into....Fire it once to bring up the display and then screw the KSM out slowly until you see a 0.0 ohm reading...I didn't see anything inside the 50 getting disturbed by a fully seated KSM however...It's tight but nothing made contact...My issue is in the circuit board....Moving on from that....Thanks for reading my beeching...

I was just twisting/screwing the bottom back on and heard this ever-so-soft crunch--looked at my juice filled fingers and saw it had given out under pressure of my thumb. Puhleeeeeeze!! I am not that strong nor am I that rough with my stuff, I swear!!

Not stepping on toes, either, but sticking with my ProVs (and Kayfun) for now. And the one KSM that has still survived--I like it. And I might, just might, get a replacement tank for the busted one.

Yep, what Fran said...your KSM box came with a spare glass for your tank Pokey. I'm technically not sub ohming either, I like the 1.2-1.3ish better and run them between 15 to 17w. I dropped my nic again, from 4mg to 3mg...thinking I'll make a 0mg for night time vaping. Since I keep both KSMs running, I'll get a little nic at night, but not as much.

Strawberry shortcake has been on my craving list...real light on the strawberry, and heavy on the shortcake/cream part! Any suggestions on a real strawberry flavor?

Dee, I use a total of 6% flavoring in my Cinnamon Roll. Half is the cinnamon roll, the other half is split between the Cream Cheese Icing, and Bav Cream. You may decide to adjust the cinnamon up some, I don't like the cinnamon to overpower the other flavors.
I ran in the craft store when I dropped Chase off at the groomer and picked up a dram of Lorann strawberry and one of watermelon. They may suck, but at least they were cheap. If I don't like them for vaping, I'll use them to flavor my ice water

Thank you! And you, too, Bov! Yup, I was/am happy between 1.2-1.5 ohms. Only one juice did I bump up on wattage and run at 16--can still do all that with what I've got.

I have a couple of strawberries--FA, Capella's, Inawera--all are good but I haven't tried them plain to see *how* good...except the Cap.

The LA strawberry is a jolly rancher type flavor, as is the watermelon, pretty much what I expected. I put just a couple of drops of the strawberry in my tank of Tres Leches that already has Cap's coconut in it, not too bad for a change, but not a keeper either.
