Not to sure what a Clapton coil even is....I've seen the term thrown around but never investigated it.....I'm still burning the first .5 in the Crown....It ain't gonna win no prizes but hey.....It's working....I'll spin a coil when this .5 goes out for comparison....Right off the bat I don't like the rba not having a top cap.....The amount of wick is critical to avoid leaks....The design of the Crown rta is gonna make trimming the ends a little harder....I figure trim it long and then take a shade off until it's right....

Got the Kabuki glass today and then realized I'd no clue where I'd stuck the broken Kabuki.....Only when it dawned on me that I compared the glass length with my stock of such....there it was.....hiding out in the KSM box....Puffing the 4S/Aro combo at the moment....It's my house mod..

Did some welding for a friend today.....Made my other friend pay up front when he dropped his Camry....The Camry repairs went smoother than I expected and I should be finished tomorrow....Still gonna be an epic payday even with the discount....and I'm rolling on

No, these weren't from the link you posted Salem. It just takes longer to ramp up, an longer to cool down than a single wire coil. More for higher watts and shorter hits than I prefer I think. Getting too many dry hits from it, so experiment over ;)

Dee, wicking the Crown rba is pretty easy. Run your cotton thru, press the top down on top of it to crease the edges along the deck. Remove the top, trim along the crease, pop the top back on...good to go with little adjustment.

Some back pay finally hitting my account tonight...woohoo!

Yeah the Clapton has a little too much going on for my taste....Even the spaced KSM original coils I ordered didn't work so good for me....My thinking is the Chinese kanthal isn't nearly as good as TemCo.....I know it looks a bit off color compared with TemCo....I try and tailor my coil too the deck....Meaning I don't like a lot of trickery to get the legs sorted....I prefer them straight as possible as many times I've seen them go hot on the first pulse....Eveen if you get it sorted out and glowing right I never get the miles from a hot on first pulse leg coil....I didn't post my Aromamizer since Wharf beat me too it and mine was pretty much the same save for 1 more wrap....The Velocity style deck IMO is a winner but the legs.....Tailoring the coil too the deck will have me experimenting with at least 9 and maybe 10 wraps of 26 at 3mm to try and keep those legs from having to be bent too conform....I wanna see those end wraps stay where I coiled them when tightened down....No pulling the wrap open....no pushing it past the next wrap or pulling it in past the next wrap....You gotta tweek it....# of wraps for length between posts....size of wire and mm of coil to get the ohms right too accomadate the length required....Then the whole two coil thingy cutting the ohms in 1/2....DANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll check the RBA out and see....Right now I've a Mini Pin sound asleep and snoring in my ear....I would certainly think if there's a hole there now a slightly bigger hole should be no problemohh....I'd only go up one size at a time though.....

Just in from the WWW.COM.....The world is full of idiots....that's my take

That whole thing on the coils....Usually I can take a look at it and pretty much judge whether or not I'll like it....What it will take to make it go....I'm still running coils #1 in the Aromamizer....They gotta last or they gotta go.....

An empty shop and a clear plate.....Off for a few.....Guess I'll sort my truck bed out next but there's no hurry in that.....
