Anyone do woodturning? i was given a small lathe and am going to do some pens, they are fairly easy and fun. Just wondering if anyone has any hints or suggestions to share.

Moms...yeah. Most of the time I can grin and bare it, sometimes I growl and bare it. Salem, I hope your mom decides to go back to PT. I know how frustrating it is tho, Katie usually chooses the opposite of what's best for her.
Thanks, Bov. I think that she will go back on Tuesday. She has herself worked up about what they may find on the ultrasound and MRI tomorrow. She put the cigs down and went back to vaping for 1 day. I called her on my way to her house and she was desperate for a cig. I caved and bought her a pack as she requested. She promised to try again tomorrow night after the tests tomorrow. Thank goodness I thought to call the Neurologist and get a script for something to relax her during the MRI. I am very claustrophobic and have a really hard doing them myself.
Rained here most of the weekend and going down in the 20s tonight. Never been a gambler. Guess that is why I never win anything

I've been sick since 2 weeks before Christmas. They said Bronchitis and Sinus infection first and put me on antibiotics. Then New Years eve they said viral Upper Respiratory Infection. Today the doc was saying my ears looked puffy but not read. My throat was extremely red so they did a rapid strep. It was neg but they put me on a Z-Pack anyway. I feel like crap and have for a month. It seems that my immune system is "depressed" and just needs to be built back up. Any suggestions, i know being diabetic slows down my recovery but geesh.
Oh Oly, I'm sorry you've been sick for so long! The Z-Pack usually whips those nasty respiratory infections pretty well for me. No real suggestions for you other than rest and eat as best you can.
Yep Dee, I've been watching the Altus developments too, and it sounds exciting. I'm going to wait until I hear some good, in depth reviews before I let go of $100+ for it tho. That element better REALLY last for that kind of money!
In other news, I like the Northwest brand of cinnamon custard flavoring so much that I ordered a 4oz bottle last night. I could tell it was going to be a winner even only after 2 days of steeping, and with my knowledge of creamy, bakery flavors, I know it will only get better as it steeps longer. The bigger bottles of Northwest flavoring come from Killer Flavors - All Natural VG Based Flavors
The Inawera Cocopilada is pretty good too, but definitely needs a good steep for the creamy coconut to shine. It's a pina colada that has more coconut and a lot less pineapple than others I've tried.
Yep Dee, I've been watching the Altus developments too, and it sounds exciting. I'm going to wait until I hear some good, in depth reviews before I let go of $100+ for it tho. That element better REALLY last for that kind of money!

I could tell it was going to be a winner even only after 2 days of steeping, and with my knowledge of creamy, bakery flavors, I know it will only get better as it steeps longer. Hard to judge for you Fran, I know you don't like sweet juices. It's a custard so it's on the sweet side, the cinnamon is not as strong as my cinnamon roll mix. I mix with 80vg so that adds more sweetness to it.
It's funny.Do you remember which sample you sent me once of one of your favorite mixes? I actually vaped the whole bottle you sent. Had to do it a little at a time because of the sweetness.I still wouldn't have called it really overly sweet.
Oly I hope the Z pack gets your motor running smoothly......I've been seeing a lot of links about strengthening one's immune system....Didn't read any.....did see where many included Tumeric....I've been wanting too add Tumeric to my diet but so far haven't.....

I've been stuck on one thing since watching the Altus video and reading what was said on Vape Royalty....I saw it clouding up the room pretty good......They say it sips juice compared with a sub ohm.....You simply can't get more out than you put in...Dig ????? Supposedly flavor is unmatched.....Supposedly the thing replacing the coil lasts forever.....Supposedly it crushed sub ohm tanks in VPML{vapes per ML....I just made that up!!}....I'm on the fence but watching closely !!!!!!!! Another thing.....This isn't the first time I've seen the latest and greatest be released in the UK.....One company is living large on profit....Trust the vape industry is abuzz....several people have asked me about it in the last two days....By the time the Altus is for sale in the US people will be going mad for one...
