Goldie Mine isn't tall enough either... That's why I crack the door. If it's not tall enough, it doesn't get enough breeze so you won't get the venturi effect. The wind across the chimney sucks the air in the chimney up. Without the breeze, when you light the fire the heat wants to rise but the is cold air is pushing it down and the sealed house won't let it draw air up. By cracking the door it allows air in and the heat to rise.

Exactly. That is what we did until we got it fixed.

With the quality of gasoline coupled with the ethanol these days.....well.....I got little faith it's the spark plug...Fresh plug is never a bad thing though....Most of the small engines have fairly easy to clean carbs....Usually just one jet in them....When I stored my generator a few weeks back I added some Royal Purple fuel injection cleaner to the tank....Ran it for a bit with a liberal dose of the cleaner....Drained the tank....Ran the generator until it had no gasoline remaining and said a prayer....Any small engine left sitting these days is gonna give problems....Ethanol is corrosive to aluminum and brass....My bet is your jet is stopped up...Only about a 15 minute fix....Got a 4 wheeler carb in the shop atm....Manager at the parts store took it off and soaked the entire carb in a gallon of cleaner....carb cleaner eats rubber....I was gonna repair it but he found another on the bay...If the carb is still assembled somewhat I use Sea Foam Deep Creep aerosol ONLY !!!!! Safe for rubber....actually a penetrating oil and carb cleaner rolled into one....

Pretty sure my wicks were in the Kayfuns for @ 6 weeks....Finally yesterday both gave up the ghost and began flooding....then leaking like the devil....All those extras on my plate coupled with when I sat down for the day I just didn't need the hassle....All is good now and believe it I packed the Cotton Bacon in there this time...Got a notification where Lost Vape has the Squonker on sale....My thinking is either it isn't selling well or more hopefully they are gonna update so you don't have to pull the juice bottle for a battery change....They get that little detail worked out and I'm in.....

Got a haircut the other day....Back of my head was itching....I got paranoid....Old boss caught some rash at a barber shop and we gave him holy hell about it...."Old Rashy Neck" !!! I'd seen some model talking about hair care with coconut oil last week...That stuff is anti everything so last night I applied it and massaged it into my scalp....Let her sit a couple of hours and washed it out....No more itch and hopefully the other benefits will be kicking in soon....

Also quit using dryer sheets....I keep an old washcloth stored in the dryer.....before drying clothes I saturate the washcloth with white apple cider vinegar....No smell afterwards.....no static....No neurotoxins...I tossed the remaining dryer sheets last night....

Morning Bov :) I love your signature line! :)

Thank you Lynn :)

I saw some chatter about that on FB, Salem. Too busy this morning to check it out further.

UTI confirmed for Katie at her Dr appt this morning. Bactrim for a week, specific cultures will be in Friday or Monday which may indicate more meds. Her carotid artery ultrasound from a year ago show left artery ok, but right is 70% occluded...not good, and likely the reason for her TIA last year that prompted the ultrasound after release from the ER. Dr made an appt for repeat ultrasound next Tuesday. Depending on those results, combined with her age of 83, we will see what options are available. Possible a stent since that won't require putting her under general anesthesia.

Hurricane Katie is not a happy camper right now, but so far is willing to do what needs to be done. I took her to IHop for lunch, at least that put a smile on her face...she loves pancakes :)

Glad the coconut oil helped, Dee...I use it too.

I did a quick look n the carb when I pulled it apart yesterday -- actually looked pretty clean. We have a local FasTrac station that carries ethanol-free -- only stuff Ii trust in the seasonal gear, but I had some fuel with ethanol before FasTrac came to town.

Carb on the Tecumseh is in a PITA location -- easy enough to pull the bowl off it, but overall it's pretty much blocked by the body/wheels, can't even get a good angle to try some cleaner in the throat above the bowl. Amazon has new carbs for only $14, but if I can't positively diagnose it I don't want to spend the time pulling the old one. The bowl itself was pretty clean, as was the bowl nut (including the small holes in it).

KGJ.......The happiest of birthdays to you !!!!!!!!!!!!! Dee

Serapeptase.....Silk Worms produce this enzyme to soften the leaves they chew.....Said to clear plaque from arteries.....It's available but so far I've not dug fully into it.....I'd dearly love to see some clinical results but there's no profit in that so.....

With that carb bowl removed look up into the carb for the jet or jets....Likely there is only one and it should be removable with a straight screwdriver...I take 'em out and hold them between my fingers at the palm....then I hold it to a light...More often than not they look clear until held to a light...Anything you can use to rod it out will work fine but just don't scar the inside....If a carb is broken down like that be very careful with spray cleaner...Like I said....Deep Creep by Sea Foam is safe....one drop of aggressive cleaner on rubber and it's game over and there's plenty of rubber sealing the carb...You may be able to stick a broom straw or toothpick into the jet to clear it while on the unit...If you can clear it enough to get it started then strong dose the gas with Sea Foam Fuel treatment....Just because it says ethanol free.....Well.....there's a reason they sell test strips...Genny Briggs carb for the generator set me back 60 a couple years back....Trust this I keep that Sea Foam around.....

Tis an incredible relief to be free of those house payments.....Had a couple of opportunities to buy and flip cars already.....09 HHR Chevy for 2500 here in a few....Got a little bump on the nose from a motorcycle....Likely gonna pass though as the others for sale out there are not bringing the best prices....Patience is required....
