Good afternoon all!

Got an inch of rain last night, due for another inch and change Wed night to Fri morning. Time to toss some more grass seed and fertilizer this evening, should do a good job on the back yard (with puppy roto-tilling :) )

Third bird of the season came down the stove pipe in the great room. I'll get him out of the stove tonight, back outside. I've decided they must be the Three Stooges :) If we get another (hope not), then I'll switch to the Marx Brothers [emoji1]

This week has been emotionally draining to say the least....Aunt Azalee's funeral went well....She's gonna be missed...I knew Rod's funeral would be rough and it was...We had services Tuesday and then the family and I buried 1/2 his ashes beside his father yesterday....Saturday we're following Rod's 63 Chevy Suburban some 80 miles too the old family farm in Duplin County, N.C. and we're gonna spread the rest of the ashes there...That old Chevy and the farm belonged to Rod's Grandad....Rod wanted to be in Duplin but his Mom wanted part of him close....Losing two confidants the same day is tough....I'll be damned glad when those ashes are spread and I can sit and look out over the pond where we shared many nights just doing what country boys do...Things will never be the same....
