We need a 'sad' button...sorry about your power, Fran.

Our basement has a lot of water coming in, and a neighbor's tree went down. Fortunately it fell right between his and his neighbor's garages and looks like very little structural damage for either of them. I was very surprised we made it thru last night and this morning without losing power. Much of Ct was not as lucky.

Thank you very much for the delicious mail, Mark

I was about to mention the wind in my previous post....In a span of one hour it went from 70ish and calm to 24 sustained winds with higher gusts and dropped into the 50s....It was burr city....

Last two Mondays I was asked to pass judgement on two purchases....One that Corvette....Today a CRF125 Honda for Cuzzo's Son Clay....I made a couple of laps around the neighborhood and gave the little Honda the go ahead....Thursday I get to show Clay how to work the clutch and stuff....Told Auntie old Clay prolly gonna need a black leather jacket around Christmas time....

Fran here's hoping the power is back on....Earlier this week I received my new lantern from Battery Junction...With the hurricanes and such I needed a good battery powered led lantern...Was also in need of a boost to free shipping from BJ....Now I need some D cells so I can check it out...

Bummer, Fran :(

Yall have no idea how happy I am that I never unpacked the bulk of kitchen cookware and other various boxes after our last move in 2011!! I hauled the majority of it up from the basement yesterday. I still have plenty to pack, but at least I have a jump start. :)

Mark I'm unsure of the lantern's name and it's down in the shop....It's the big Streamlight and not the rechargeable lithium....Takes 3 D cells and I figured that would work better since if there's no power there's no re-charge other than a generator that usually has all plug ins in use....It has a nice carry/hanging handle....d-ring top and bottom for hanging...globe removes for inverted hanging as a regular undiffused lamp.....led changes to red for less loss of night vision...On off changes from green to red to indicate remaining battery...Can't remember the lumens but it's a Streamlight so pretty good there...Also got the low output for extended run time...Wasn't cheap nor expensive...Streamlight is only OK in my book as I roll with a Surefire flashlight only....Last night on Spike's nature call a nearby coyote had all the neighborhood dogs in a tizzy....Coyote was yipping and mimicking the howl of the neighborhood dogs....Spike ran off in the darkness to protect his turf...I called him back and the coyote went silent so I know it was close...Bottom line if you can see it with your eyes the Surefire will more than light it up....plus it's 18650 powered....

In the very early 80s I met the twins Bryan and Brad Skinner...Bryan owned a light system for band use and Brad soon acquired a band sound system....I hired on as the truck driver/roadie....Together we rented the light and sound for many traveling bands who chose not to haul all that gear with them....We three split rent with two sisters in Fayetteville, NC though we mostly lived out of hotel rooms....Most times it was Brad and I in the truck traveling early to the clubs on the East Coast....One night in Jacksonville, Florida Brad met a Russian chick named Olga....I remember traveling the next day and Brad looking like he'd seen a ghost....They went on to have two sons and a daughter and were living in Youngsville just north of Raleigh.....Where there were once many clubs that had live bands there are now only a few....Brad scored the gig at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh...The area's premier club for live entertainment....He ran the club sound system and yeah....I always got in free if I called Brad in advance.....Sunday at 3pm we had that wind/rain storm roll in. Brad hit some water and hydroplaned head on into a truck....He's gone forever....Just like when Rod left here 3/31 now I don't know really what to do...I'm really gonna miss him and really don't look forward to seeing Bryan...It's gonna be heavy...

Sorry to hear about Brad, El Dee - we never know when our time will be up.

Bummer on the power Fran.

Reservations made to head out Sunday fur that business trip. Of course my Pulse bf should arrive Monday [emoji5] The bf is getting good early feedback, glad I ordered one.

I still gotta get around to an Oceanus. Vape NW would be $51 with a discount code. Being naturally cheap, I'll probably hold out until black Friday insanity, unless I see one come in under $50. (When I set a target I stick to it.)

Vape gear for the trip will be my k1 dna75, tw Odyssey mech backup, Wasp nano rda backup. Tank I haven't decided; ammit 25 is tops for flavor, though the wotofo flow with a couple of flow heads wins for convenience. I tend to change heads or coils every 3 days, though with a new coil I could just rewick at 3; the trip is 6 days, though the flight days will be light on baiting.

(3 days for me is anywhere from 45 - 60 ml, depending in which tank I use; I vape low nic but a lot of ml [emoji5])

Safe and fun trip Mark !!!!

I like the ergonomics and run time of the Oceanus....I got 2 in rotation and 1 still in the box...

1.5 mg/ml here....Back in the 24mg/ml days we all compared ml per day...Mine was @6ml then....Thinking on a carto tank....For double dang sure way higher than 6 ml today....I wonder if the high ml intake doesn't negate some of the dropped to 1.5 mg/ml....I know a formula could be devised....I know slowing down some would be a better idea.....Stressed though....

Thanks for the well wishes about Brad...trust some tears have hit the ground and many more likely will....This life has blessed me with many great friends....The days spent with them were great....Losing them is hard ...you never know what tomorrow holds.....
