My problem isn't eating out...it's eating ramen because I spent so much on a fence (or furniture, bills!!)
That's my excuse, anyway! My Dr is heavily in favor of Mediterranean type diet eating, but agrees that rewards in moderation are not to be seen as failures.
Dee's words of not trusting a fence keep echoing in my head, so I haven't let Bella out alone yet. But even still going out with her, we're gonna love having this fence

We have a fenced backyard, 5', and a fenced dog area at camp, 10x16, again 5'.
What I've done is lay a little concrete boundary along the fence edges, just a couple inches deep and wide, with the one at camp having a few small cutouts on the downslope side for drainage when we have spring floods. This has been enough to keep our multiple aussies from trying to dig out under the edge. With fast set concrete, pour into the little trench and soak it with a hose, get over 4' of linear coverage per bag.
I'm pretty sure I've also used regular concrete, cheaper, for this, again just pouring the dry stuff out of the bag and hosing it (put a little of the dirt on top of the wet concrete to improve curing). In theory you should mix regular concrete, then pour, but for this simple, non structural, use what I did still gets a rock-like edge.

Oh Salem you better believe I eat Philly cheesesteaks!!! I just ditch the bread! if anyone had told me a year ago I’d be doing this practice of ditching breads and cakes, etc I’d have said they were out of their minds. Lol

My colon cancer test came back negative !! That's a positive !!
Got Mom's monthlies paid yesterday after getting in from the beach....Heading to my tax lady today in hopes of getting back money accidentally paid into her retirement account....Just a forgotten check in a box by Sis...It's a pet peeve of mine....every year you gotta request redistribution of funds or get fined for not withdrawing....why not keep the request rolling year after year....tax free year after year....
Well this morning I forgot to post the reply above....Got Mom almost a thousand back....Sis and Fam took Mom with them to the beach....I may try and go down there tomorrow night and get a little more done...Purchased a new led light for the laundry area...Hoping it's gonna be bright enough....

Thank you for the suggestions, Mark...really good idea. My fence guy did cut the bottom of the fence an inch or so, but I know that's not enough if Bella decided to dig at it. The neighbor whose fence is the length along the back lined his side with cinder blocks years ago, and that's all good and solid, so all I'd need to do are the two 30'ish ft sides. Another advantage of going out with Bella right now is that any time she digs at anything anywhere in the yard, I can correct her. Everything is a teaching opportunity
I am delighted to discover that one of my favorite herbs is perennial here...rosemary! And Bella hates the smell of it, so it will be going in the ground on the sides of each gate!

I had Chopper and BB in a big fenced pen for years....They dug out....I filled in with broken blocks and dirt....They dug out somewhere else.....Came across a "Fido Shock".....I ran the wire a couple inches off the ground and a couple inches from the fence....I heard a yelp or two but the digging stopped....Pretty soon it was unplugged but the wire remained....The wire and insulators were yellow and anything yellow from that point on was something the dogs avoided....Hopefully Bella won't dig but if she does there is a solution...
We haven't hit 80* yet but it's been 70* something a couple of times....Warm now but back too winter come Monday....I'm gonna load the chainsaws up and hit the beach for a little work while the fam is there....That way there will be someone to dial 911 need be as a ladder will be involved.....Gonna try and get the demo finished as well.....Noticed they dumped those overfull dumpsters at the new construction across the road....After all the trash that was blown into my yard I won't feel guilt should my debris find it's way into said dumpsters...Got a box spring and mattress that's gonna disappear as well....1993 I moved in with an empty field across the road until 2 years back....Now I'm looking at 6 brand new houses.....

After using them for the past week, the NuNaturals Stevia white powder (mixed with maltodextrin) and Vanilla Alcohol Free (liquid) are both winners, no aftertaste at all.
I still have a bottle of the NN Clear Extract (liquid) if anyone would like it. Based on the other two products, I expect it's quite good.
It's pleasant out, near 50 today, low 60s due tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow will be a camp day, so I can get the new wheels on the boat. I also need to catch our next door neighbor at the lake, see if I can get him to do a quick job with his cherry picker (Happy to pay for this - it's tacking up a new 12awg line on our power pole, used by our pump; the old one got taken out by a falling branch. It's perfectly safe, no power on it until I do the hookup on the outdoor breaker box, but much easier to do with a picker.)

LD, I am so glad to know that you have the colonoscopy behind you ( no pun intended haha) and that it turned out well. Now you don’t even have to think about it again for another 10 years. Very cool that you were able to help your mom out with the taxes as well.
I have picked my grandson up from school all week this week. I love spending time with that precious boy. I will admit that I am a bit tired tonight though.

The stuff that I get from dollar tree is sugar and alcohol free as well. It has sucralose in it but no bad after taste either. Every bit as good as Torani imho. Plus the price can’t be beat.

So far, Bella has made no attempts to dig out, but I haven't left her unattended in the yard for any length of time. The hot wire is an option that was also mentioned by my fence guy should it be necessary. Cut to size hog wire laid on the ground and top dressed (so the grass grows up thru it) is also an option.

I'm using the stevia for food. The vanilla liquid is added to plain yogurt (should be good for coffee too), while I've been using just a pinch of the dry mix on top of oat bran cereal, along with cinnamon.

Hey mark, I make a killer steel cut oats recipe in my crockpot. It is extremely good for you and the taste is phenomenal.
I was making it for my mom and sister before we moved and they loved it too. I will share the recipe with you if you like. It is the major item that I use my organic cinnamon Ceylon in. Great thing about it is that I can make it once a week and keep in refrigerator. It is just as good reheated as it is fresh.
