Yep, just like those. maybe bigger. We would sit on our back porch and shine a flashlight out there just to see all of the red glowing eyes at night. I am sure that you are familiar with the sounds that they make during mating season. Sounds like something out of a horror movie

We had several that used our back yard as their "dumping" spot

The best scenario I could think of is the gator eating the snake and the gator dies from poison. That way they're both gone. As far as I'm concerned The Good Lord messed up when he put reptiles on earth.

No. it may seem that way but, everything has a purpose ;)

Bats need food too :) I read some where that one bats will eat 10,000 mosquitos in one night. That does seem like a very high number so i remembered it wrong or these are very small mosquitos. Now what bats are good for am not sure. They do scare my wife so that's fun to watch:evil:

Except mosquitos, Salem. LOL

So i had to look it up i was close. A few things that stand out are

Bats are mammals
They account for more than 25 percent of all the mammals on the earth.
Bats are the only mammals that can fly.
One bat can eat more than a thousand insects in one hour!
Bats are not a danger to people and are actually quite valuable. They help to control the insect population. They also help seed new plants and pollinate our crops!

There will be a test on friday j/k

And when they team up with Robin they're pretty good crime fighters.

Who built bat houses and put them way up high in swamp trees???? Yes I did...I need more houses...I got this one bat named Debbie...Male or female I've no idea...but the bat is blonde and hairy...Blondie...Debbie Harry!!! Debbie likes to fly right by your head...You never see it coming and it will scare the beejesus outta you...

Still they haven't gotten rid of the State Bird of NC,,,,the mosquito

If I could get my hands on some anteaters those dang fire ants would be in trouble...

I found out opossums were immune too Copperhead and Rattlesnake venom...they eat snakes...So I fixed them up a few dens near my house...Last year a hollow tree on my property was home for a mother opossum and her babies...

Finally I'm on google....This thread came up as a hit for Twisted kayfun Coil...thanks to me we are all World famous...not Wally Wurld either...Thank me when you get a chance

Okay then. Almost everything ;)

ROTFL!! Down here we get people that come from someplace else that buy a house on the water and immediately try to wipe out all the gators, snakes and anything else they didn't have back home they find offensive. "Let's move to Florida and kill all the wildlife so we can enjoy nature".

Ditto. Love my bats. Organic insect control. Frogs for the pond help a lot too.
