Hey Bovina,
I've been using the EMOW i got at the beach. it has a 1.5 ohm dual coil with air control and is really nice. haven't been having the best results off my vamo lately with the evod or protank, not sure why.

It feels funny to still be awake at this time of night but the Orioles are playing and just can't go to bed yet.

And thanks again Salem. I just don't seem to have the gumption to keep up with the tech of vaping. I think i'll be getting a new device soon, try the newer tech. So it is good to see you all talking about the newer stuff.

Oly, I really think that TC is going to be great. maybe all PVs will go to TC eventually. Studies have been done by Dr Farsalinos showing that high heat levels can create some changes in the chemicals in our ejuice. It may just end up being that TC is the safest way to vape. Even so, PVs with TC will most likely be much improved as time goes on.

And the O's win. Night all.

Woohoo!!!! :toast:

I looked at an IPV today....single 18650...Pretty OK but I'm PV poor ATM....A friend got a Sillygilli with 150 watts and 2 18650s...Don't drop it on your foot...

I believe the Silly Gilly{spell it however you want} and the IPV are controlled by a Yihi chip....Temp controlled unless I'm wrong again....Thinking it's a Chinese copy of the Evolv chip...

Let us know how the rayon compares with the Japanese cotton....I'm a little gun shy of rayon being it's an artificial product....Still though.............

I snagged a small but expensive roll of UD 26G kanthal at the new B&M today....

Cabela's has a thing called a bobbin made too control fishing line while on the factory spool....I saw one in action used on a Temco spool....they're only a couple of bucks and look like they work well...

Yeah I trolled the Lemo 2 at Eciggity....Saw some silicon cases for the Stick 50....Not much worried about scratches but the non slide factor is nice...It covers the chrome bottom and not sure about the top....I love stainless steel but absolutely hate chrome....Like lipstick on a pig too me....Eciggity ships free over $50....Silicon case was $4something and a box of Nauty coils would seal the free deal...

$25 buckaroos a box for KSM 1.2s at the new B&M.....I got my last 1.2 in play so I bought an insurance one....I haven't checked prices but most other 5 packs have been $15/16 bucks...

Got some ding dang Amish Moon and Stars watermelon seeds......

Oly I got a friend who just moved too Baltimore....His girlfriend works for HomeLand Security....Kinda creepy if you ask me....I got trust issues with regular cops....super cops.....yeah.....creepy

Hey LD, this is the IPV4 that we are talking about iPV4 Box Mod by Pioneer4You

Specs http://www.eciggity.com/ipv4-100-watt-box-mod/

review http://www.paintthemoon.org/review-of-the-ipv4-box-mod-vaporizer/
"Their previous version, called the iPV3, was a 150 watt unit that is still one of most popular mods to date. The iPV4 will be capable of outputting up to 100 watts but will have upgraded features that will most likely make it one of the most sought after dual 18650 box mods in the world."

It does indeed have a Yihi chip which have a better track record so far then the Evolv chips. It is also dual 18650. I think that they are going to sell for $140.00 ??? after they are actually released. GearBest as them on preorder for about $65 The other great thing about Yihi is that their chips are user upgradeable. No need to buy a new mod when something new is available for the chip. With Evolv, that is not the case.

I try hard to support stuff made in the US but, I have several mods with the Yihi chip in them and I am a fan. As far as I know, Evolv is still having issues with theirs. Although I really have not kept up with them. It is kind of like the Provari being a hot topic and people get very defensive of Evolv. This is just my personal preference. :D

Oly, when is the last time that you bought new batteries for your Vamo? Maybe you need some and that is why it's weak?

What would be symptoms of a weak battery then? Mine take good charges, get up to 4.1, and have good duration. I rotated 4 batteries each replacement and 1 of those no longer takes a charge so i'm down to three. My Vamo did always give good vapor and flavor. Lately it always seems i'm short on vapor regardless of tank used. As i'm thinking about it i wonder if i've used the right coils but my big purchase of evods has not run out yet, so they should be correct. I don't have any replacement coils for the EMOW so i know i didn't use them in another tank. The pro-tank 2 may not have the right coils, if they needed specific type compared to my other devices.

Do you clean your Vamo threads regularly? If they have built up gunk on them, it will reduce the connection and power going to the tank. I use a toothbrush and alcohol once every week or two. You may be surprised at how quickly they get gunky.

Plus, I use the twisted corner of a paper towel to wipe the threads out each time that I fill my tank.

A lithium-ion battery’s maximum charge will decline over time, so most will conk out on their own or you’ll find it’s just not worth your time to recharge it for the time you get out of it. However, even when a battery is still going strong after a year (two for really high quality batteries), it’s safer to go ahead and get a replacement around then.

Salem the one I saw is not the one linked.....It's pictured to the right on the link....

Pro Vs are like Timex IMO....My Evolv is new but old as it's a 30....I'm OK with it...Yihi I've never run so I can't comment on that....Seems fine though...IPV has a black with 4 90* corners and I believe a 60 watt....It looks the best to me....Like I said I got issues with chrome....magnified when the chrome is Chinese....That curve and chrome on the IPV kills the deal for me....

Rain for today as it did yesterday....Been running heat for nearly 24 hours now.....

Morning folks :)
Dee, I had heard that people weren't liking the KSM rba too, but I have not noticed any difference in flavor or vapor when using mine. Other than the user errors, mine performs quite well.

The rayon is doing good, altho I'm not sure if it's the rayon itself, or the fact that I finally used enough wick. My palate is not sophisticated enough to detect a difference in flavor compared to the cotton

Bov, I still have the piece of rayon that I got from my hairdresser. I need to try it sometime.

Ok, so is the IPV4 worth waiting for then? Or is there a Top contender currently available to make waiting not necessary? Criteria would be 18650 battery, temp control, and whatever important thing i don't know about (i don't even know anything about sub-ohm so no thanks, i think). :vapor:

Yep, it is worth waiting for. VapeNW supposedly already has tracking and expecting to have them in on the 17th. Once vendors have them in stock versus a preorder, the price is going to jump dramatically. Pioneer4You is known for great quality mods.

BTW- I have a few subtanks and do not subohm. I use the 1.2 coils with my Kanger Subtank.

VapeNW site says

This is a PRE ORDER. P4YOU stated the iPV4 was sent to us April 10th. No further information has been received. We apologize for the delays.

You would need a few of these http://vapenw.com/mod-batteries/samsung-inr-18650-25r

better pricing here but, they are slow to ship http://www.illumn.com/18650-samsung-inr18650-25r-2500mah-high-discharge-flat-top.html

another http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Of-Samsun...005&rk=4&rkt=6&mehot=es&sd=261753515095&rt=nc

Moon, I am using the LG HE2s right now and they are great. I actually don't have any of the Samsung yet but, they are the latest and greatest :)

I am pretty sure that Oly is still using 10 amp batteries.

ETA- Those LG HE4s have the exact same specs as the Samsung :thumb:

Just saw this posted at a different vendor. No surprise here

*4/15 UPDATE: We have been receiving numerous emails asking for an update or as to why we have not posted one lately. We said we would post another update when we have something more concrete and unfortunately we do not yet. When we ask for an update every week from P4You, all we get is a different an excuse for another delay. The truth of the matter is the only one's who truly know what's going on regarding shipping/production delays are the ones running their company. Rather then give another excuse every time, we would rather wait until we have something definitive. While Pioneer4you is known for their high quality box mods, they are also infamous for giving bad release dates. We experienced the same issue with our iPV3 150w pre-order and specifically waited over a month and half after the original iPV4 100w announced release date before beginning to accept pre-orders this time around. It's very upsetting for us to have to continue to push back the date now and we understand everyone’s frustration. As of now, the iPV4 has not been released and we still do not have a definitive date. The last date we were told was the 17th but we have spoken to other have vendors who were told that shipping would not begin until next week. As soon as we have something factual we will post it here. We hope you understand we have absolutely no control over the release being delayed. Also remember if would no longer like to wait, we completely understand which is why we have our open cancellation policy for a full refund.

Oly, I agree with Salem. I love my Subtank but I'm not using sub ohm coils either. My target is around 1.2-1.5ish, either in the stock heads or on the rba. It's a fairly easy learning curve :)

Moon, those batts look fine to me, but I haven't had to research the higher amp batteries. Probably be a good idea for me to learn more about them.
