Still not nearly as bad as south of us. Cleared the drive, walks and steps. Was covered again by the time I was done, but still less I'll have to do tomorrow.

Whoa Nelly !!!!!!!!! Back from the darkness.....Every dang battery I own is dead......That wind did kick up and the trees and limbs came crashing right on down....Used my new auto jump box too charge my phone and provide light through last evening....I remember thinking how stupid it was for the battery to have a light on it....seems not so stupid now....There's a couple days of chainsaw work just to be able to reach the highway....Still icy atm so that will just have to wait a minute....Falling with a full on badd azz Stihl is not on my agenda....I will be sharpening the chain here in a minute though......Supposedly 41* in a few hours with full on SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dang ol heat wave....Ya'll be careful....Spring is coming soon !!!!!!!!!!!
Paths, gravel, everything all dug out. Looks like our total was abut 8" so we got off easy. Don't try to tell that to my back, hips, and shoulders tho

Not too bad here. We never lost power and got just enough snow to look pretty and play in. I sent pics to son and grandson. GS was very sad that he was not here to play in it. Nothing but rain and wind on the coast.
Wharf, I have been thinking of Matt ever since I read your post. I am pretty sure that he was not that old. Mid to late 60s maybe? I can't help to wonder if the issues that he was having a few years back had anything to do with his passing. Just very sad.

WE CAN NO LONGER SUGGEST VAPERS BUY THIS TANK, OR AT LEAST TO NOT USE THE CERAMIC COIL THAT MAKES IT SO NICE. WE HAVE INITIAL REPORTS THAT THE CERAMIC IS INFUSED TO THE LEAD WITH GLUE THAT CREATES TOXIC VAPORS WHEN HEATED. THIS HAS NOT BEEN PROVEN AND WE CAN’T PROVE ANYTHING OURSELVES BUT TO PLAY IT SAFE WE ARE REMOVING THE LINKS TO THIS DEVICE FROM THIS POST.
NOTICE: This is completely based off of hearsay, and I have not done any scientific research on the glue or the vapor itself, but am taking the better safe than sorry approach on the matter. If anyone DOES happen to have more info on this matter please leave it below in the comments section.

Yeah Bov... I haven't seen this anywhere else (haven't looked too hard though) but I think I'll wait. In 6 weeks we will have 8 different versions of ceramic tanks
Well dang....Glue?????? I got a couple of boxes full of Crown coils....Long lasting Crown coils so I'm good for the for a while.....
So when that tree fell on Mom's powerline it was dark...and cold...slick....I got the line free in the middle of the night and it was powered up when I freed it....I had a smoke in front of the shop and was surveying the situation when I saw her bathroom light go out...I'd no idea if it was on or not I just saw it go dark....with her at Sis' I went in to investigate....nothing....all bath switched were off....so I went to finish my smoke session.....damn if the garage light didn't come on and then off....well I saw the car inside clearly so I grabbed my ax and snuck up there....again nothing and all switches were off....turns out the metal line I saw broken in the power line was actually a neutral and not just for support as I thought....I called in my Cousin and had him check everything out....he says the house is being fed super high volts that normally the neutral controls....We got the main breaker off atm....I know the garage door opener is fried and I expect many more things as well.....Looking on the bright side the house didn't burn too the ground.....though it still might before I get all this sheet worked out....

That's scary stuff, Dee. Glad you witnessed it and turned off the main breaker. Sad to know all the appliances and electronics are probably fried. Hope it doesn't take a big fight with the insurance to get everything covered
